New orbital 1m dish + inrego lnb , any tweeking tips please before i setup!

    just received my new dish orbital dish and black inrego LNB to replace cheap ebay 80cm :-) , motor is being kept because seems ok, when fitting the lnb , it has 2 inches at least of movement forward and backwards in holder! , should i start at furthest point ie LNB face closest to holder furthest point from dish or the other way? , objective is to get viasat on 4.8 ands the more difficult feeds and improve quality of signal generally? i am north liverpool if anyone has any experience! with these parts that seem to come recommended?

    Held the lnb mid way on the holder...


    Get your angles right...


    And skew the lnb correctly to receive max signal!


    Like yourself I upgraded from a cheapo 80cm dish to a 1m in search of Viasat but sadly failed!


    It did how ever give me a massive increase on other satellites and can get nordic beams on 0.8 west without a problem..


    I am in the South of Ireland and you being in Liverpool should give you a big advantage over me for Viasat and i'd say you will pick it up alright...

    Right on an overcast evening (tonight) finally tweaked the dish and getting following from l23 Liverpool postcode:


    4.8e:


    Via sat Nordic beam 11747 agc 93% snr 61%
    Via sat hd 12456 agc 95% snr 57%


    0.8w


    Canal digital Nordic HD 10747 gr 93% snr 78%


    16e


    Tring / digit alb agr 91+ snr 75+


    None of these channels were registering signal on previous dish so inverto LNB + orbital dish seem to be v good!


    Footy season looking good here......
