  • Hi and thanks for looking at my post.

If someone can advise me why my oscam suddenly will freeze the picture. When I look at the reader. .. It shows as cache1 and just freezes, though nobody else is watching the channel.

I don't have any cache setup except the basic that comes in if someone else is watching the same channel.

I'm watching of my local card so I don't understand why it does that

If you have any ideas, give me a shout

  • Usually its in Var/bin or usr/bin on most images. No idea regarding the TS image as its one i don't use.

  • Yea, I can't find it anywhere. Weird one, even the config files are in var/etc unlike any other images lol..... I'll keep Looking

  • I tried updating so many different versions. ... But none of them read my card and always gave error on the internal readers. What do I need to get my card to work on the new versions of oscam

  • With the old version running, in the webif, go to...
    Files / oscam.version
& post back the build details of that working version & I will compile latest oscam with same settings..

  • you'll have to change the reader settings to
    MHz 450
    cardmhz 2700
that's why it cant read the card. in the log it will show this was an unsuccessful start attempt with the old settings

Which version of oscam are you talking about? The new ones? If that's the case I will try it.

I was under the understanding that oscam set the frequency itself

It used to but as pointed out, latest versions require

    Code
    MHz 450
    cardmhz 2700

Make sure to rename the old oscam to oscamOLD & the new bin to oscam (or whatever the name should be) & chmod 777..
Do you get error message when trying to start new bin manually?

    Code
    cd /usr/bin/cam
    ./oscam

  • It starts fine and all my peers and clients work fine. Just the internal card gives error after it tries to start up. ...I will change the frequency and see how it goes
