Bought an optibox spider now it say s ash and nothing is coming on the screen

i bought an optibox set it up and everything was working fine. i went out to work and left my dad watching it but when i cam home the box wont turn on and is stuck on the message "ASH" also there is no output going into my tv. im not sure what my dad has done but i would really appreciate the help.
