There are different methods of how to install a .ipk file:
Manual install in image menu - FTP .ipk to /tmp folder > Look for Install local extension in image menu.. Each image has different button presses to get to this option in the menu. Tell us which image you have an we can point you in the right direction.
In telnet - FTP .ipk to /tmp folder > Copy this command into telnet/putty and press enter
Via USB Memory Stick - Copy the .ipk onto a USB stick and insert into the receiver.. Follow on screen instructions..
With Dreambox Control Center - Start DCC-E2 > Select Tools > Upload Package > Search your PC/laptop for the .ipk file.
Done the usb method but it still runs the earlier version
Ned more help
appears to load on screen then just runs the old version
Delete the older version from /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions or remove from the plugin menu.
