I upgraded my s10 box without any problem and it used to have a little lip-sync issue but now all work good.
can you describe how it comes or what you did? it might help others(including me) from bricking theirs.

i updated my box s9hd and :09:all went smoothly.now the box can play many files like vob;mpg etc..

thanks god i downloaded the test fw and updated my s9hd,and it wasworking!now player supporting vob;mpg;mp4files aswell as dat and may be more

Hello, this firmware works fine on my S9 HD. It is faster and the media player works fine with mp4 files, but does not load the srt subtitle files. I wish someone would help me solve this problem if possible.

I dunno what happened with my box but it's stuck with "on" and I can't recover it. I'm pissed off but what can I do, iv tried lots of loaders and firmwares and no go:(

Is there any time of recovery sofwary you could try? maybe the spiderbox one may work?

there is a recovery procedure, which involves using a rs232 lead but I can't seem to get it to connect. Believe me iv tried everything. It's not as if I'm a noob at this. Iv been doing cable boxes and had a tm1500 few years ago. These involved a bit of work. I have an eagle box in it's place but the tuner is dodgy , I'm not getting all channels.
I don't want to turn my back on the openbox, god knows I know enough about em.

hooley are you using an rs232 cable into a serial port or through a usb adapter?

daft question but have you used the rs232 lead successfully with a different type of receiver e.g dreambox and dreamup?

Have you tried altering the com port and port settings eg bits per second parity etc?

I've tried both USB and serial and iv used the cable successfully with my eagle to flash. It's finding the box but not flashing the firmware unfortunately. I'm gonna leave it a few days before I try again. Iv started new job yesterday so it's low on priorities at the mo. Thanks hamborambo.

may be yours is a clone hooleyand was killed after 10 bootings

I have mine since April last year when it was called a solomend 800. If you think it's a basic box now you should have seen it then lol. I'd just like to get it going again cause I won't be able to advise people in the future with new firmware s.

Tried this tester, worked ok sound is a bit better. I use a 1tb drive, it wont play what i previously recorded using the bloody thing, or avi or divx. So for me best hold back till its sorted.

Can it fix sly sport 1 reboot problems ?

also it would be better to include continuous/repeat playback for the mediaplayer.
