I m facing a strange issue when using MGcamd 1.38c as a client for c-line. When viewing in telnet, MGcamd is able to connect to the server but stops at the following error :
"read header from server failed: len 0".
The same c-line is working in CCcam.
Experts please throw some light upon this error, what does this error mean & why it is coming only in MGcamd as cline client whereas the same cline works fine in CCcamd.

Is there any method by which we can identify which protocols the server supports?
The server needs to be using CCcam 2.1.1 and below to allow a C line to work in mgcamd.
Add the C line to CCcam then look at CCcamInfo in your browser to see which version it is using..
Thanks Master G, the server which I m trying is running CCcam v2.0.11-2892.
Its working fine with CCcam client, but the problem is with MGcamd as a client..
If the CCcam protocol is active in mg_cfg then it should clear:
# network mode, use summ for several clients
# 00 no network (default)
# 01 newcamd netclient
# 02 radegast netclient
# 04 camd3 netclient
# 08 gbox netclient
# [COLOR='#FF0000']32[/COLOR] cccamd netclient, card list saved as /tmp/cccamd.info

You havn`t mentioned which receiver and image you use.. There is an option to select box type in mg_cfg. Autodetect doesn`t work on the latest images for some receivers..

Tried another cline, its working fine in Mgcamd, Perhaps there was a problem with my earlier cline server...
