DEAD Nbox i think i have

    My Nbox has died i think. when i insert my power cable i no longer get a red light in the spdif section on back of box. i have tried swapping over the power pack and it wil not light up at all. i opened case and when i put my hear to internals of box. it will give a faint beep but the hard drive or the fan will not start up. can anyone give me an idea what is going on with it. or is it a case to put it in bin and start again.

    Check for bulging capacitors. From what i gather the ones they used when they built these boxes were cheap and nasty ones. If any look like they have bulged or the tops have anything oozing from them its time to replace them.


    look for any burn mark on the tracks to. Cant really suggest anything else.
