Confused on which card to buy to start sharing

    Hi I've got my server up and running Ccam on my Vu solo 2 my new motorised dish will be up at the weekend so i just need to add a card but i,m confused on which to buy, i have a budget of £150 £200 max, i don't know but i,m presuming a sport card would be best for sharing although i don't watch sport (apart from MotoGp) I'm thinking 99.9 percent of world does, i,m more into movies so i,m thinking sharing sport for movies, tbh i don't know its all a bit confusing for me, I've been reading about red *** cards not clearing etc, i just don't want to buy a card and i carnt get it to work for some reason or other, any help is appreciated

    Have you got any card at all right now ? even a sly local at the minute , most cards are having issues right now and things are evolving on most caids , and sports cards your kinda limited there , I think we have all been where you are and have all asked the same question , porn cards were a good starting card but the internet is full of it now , if you do go down that road dont get iderto get viaccess cards maybe decide what you want to get and before you get it put a post up and see what interest you get before you jump in , its a lot more awkward trying to start a share up now the way things are

    cheers steve, I've no card at all at the min, i thought to myself i bet every one as a porn card to share(and theres only so much one wrist can handle :) ) thats why i was thinking sports, can you not buy the likes of say sly sports 1 and 2 from somewere other than sly or a foreign channel that someone wants to share for uk?

    I think BT can be got independent of sly and it has Motogp , or set4nta (which will also give bt if in roi. It did last year)

    Still the issue of the card though needs to be in the name of the subscriber and a possibility of the new one being sent out ,could always see if a m8 has multiroom thats not in use and get him to sign up pairing to a sd box ?

    slylink are m7 now as far as i know you cant share it ,if there are any updates on this please give us a link as the last was blackship oscam and that stopped working also , are you sharing this card now baky20 as i want this in my server for viasat explorer ?

    Looking to pick up a new card as my Viasat Baltic has run out - Looking at Canal, so would have S**link 23.5E & Canal 13.0E

    $kylink normally only issue the newer Paired Ird€to cards mate. Doubtful that you will be able to get hold of one of the older Cryptoworks cards. I'm not sure if the newer Ird€o cards can be shared yet.

    Yes they will work, however OSCam will not update it, you have to use sBox or a dedicated CAM/Receiver that will update a conax CAS7 card. I used to use my old Technomate TMS 1500CI+.


    They are not using card pairing at this time but that could well change in the future. The technology is there on the card, it just needs them to use it. Fortunately as its updated monthly it won't leave you with an expensive ice scrapper if they do go down the road of CAS7 pairing.
