  • Got a problem with ViX where randomly OSCAM drops out and CCCam takes over the card. Is there anyway to stop this?

At the moment I'm checking it everyday and stopping CCcam, restarting OSCAM then starting CCcam. Is there anyway to stop this or, alternatively, a way for it to do this automatically.

OSCAM does sort out the entitlements too right?

  • Yeah, I read about you having the same issue and moved to Blackhole but hated the interface. Hopefully ViX may sort something in the next release, I can always just keep checking and restarting.

  • ok, can you activate oscam log so we can see when and why it drops out :

and i think there is no need to open 2 ports for the same caid:ident :

  • Was just easier to get it all working to start with. What changes would I make to run oscam on it's own? I know to add all my clients to oscam.client by converting the F Lines and all the servers in oscam.server by converting the C Lines

  • in few steps :

    1/ add this in oscam.conf

2/ in oscam.user add this first

then all your converted F lines

3/ in oscam.server add all your converted C lines

    4/ copy your cccam.prio to a file called oscam.dvbapi

5/ stop ALL the cams, then start oscam ONLY (there will be conflict if cccam is running too)

this way oscam should run OK but you will have to adjust the configuration after (depends on your card, your peers...) to get the better zaptime (for you and for your clients)
