I have had a new S10 (genuine) for a few days, and started off by loading the latest 14/09 firmware. I wish to use a HDD for PVR recording. I found that when I connected an external portable HDD it was always on and spinning even when the S10 was put into standby. When I reloaded the original (20/05/11) version firmware, the problem is gone. The HDD turns off as it should in standby. But of course I lose all the advantages of the latest firmware. All firmware that I have tried which is newer than this May version causes the 'always on' problem to return. Have other users noticed this? Who needs to be notified to sort this problem?
