  • Hi all I've a dreambox server but managed to set up a pc server with the great tutorial by Thatfellow. I have not entered any F lines or C lines but was wondering could I transfer my oscam files from the dreambox to the PC server or would I have to write new F lines and new Clines for my shares.

One more thing, I take it this server neds no dish feed ?

    Thanks

    Which tutorial did you follow?
From the sounds of it, you have the oscam/cccam server setup, if your talking about f lines and c lines.
    http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=16479
If so, and all you use is oscam on your dreambox, maybe you should consider an oscam only configuration on your new server:

  • Yes thats right Codar, I have a dreambox 500s server using oscam and CCcam - I think.

But im just trying to get my head round getting this present setup working and move on from there. Thanks.

Thanks for replying Stevejo, first of all how do I set client boxes to update card, Im using a Omnikey reader 3121 but see no configs in the Oscam server file nor on the reader page of the webif, can I simply paste mu oscam users file from dreambox over to pc server ?

    - - - Updated - - -

Tried installing just Ubuntu+Oscam, no difference im still none the wiser Im going to reinstall this one - http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=16479.

I guess its going to be trial and error for me, this is not a great site for getting much help for someone just learning.

    Thanks anyway.

I disagree ! I learnt everything i needed to know from site and had plenty of help along the way ! If you take time to post your problems everyone is happy to assist and point in the right direction ! If by help you mean can we spoon feed you then you are correct !

Excuse the confusion I never said the site was unhelpful I said you wont get much help - Not the same as being unhelpful.

  • Where are you upto tacapall ?

  • You do not need to become a VIP to get help on this forum, many people on this forum have received help regardless of their status.

VIP status is given by members donating to the upkeep of the forum, do you think the very nice hosting company hosts this forum for free? VIP status is not compulsory, if you wish to get or not get VIP status that is entirely upto you. The help you get on the forum will be no different regardless of wether you are a VIP or not.

Now as i posted on the other thread, if you don't wish to participate on the forum all you need to do is ask and i will quite happily remove your account if thats what you wish.

  • Sorry Rik I was trying to chmod the CCcamOscamInstall and keep getting this message - root@ubuntu:~# /tmp/CCcamOscamInstall.sh
-bash: /tmp/CCcamOscamInstall.sh: /bin/sh^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory.

I had the server and the Oscam and CCcam working before I tried what what someone else said like install Ubuntu with just Oscam but that was even more difficult so I re installed back to Ubuntu with Oscam and CCcam now i keep geeting the message above when I try to install CCcamOscamInstall.

    Thanks for your time.

I dont mean to be funny or such but what other thread are you taking about ?

By the way I was responding to another posters suggestion that maybe I should get VIP status, I know you dont need to be VIP to get help this is a great site for tutorials and such and usually I dont need to ask for help I try to learn myself Im just a simple person more practical than logical I meant no offense to anyone, especially the membersd of the forum.

  • [quote='tacapall','https://linuxsat-support.com/index.php?thread/&postID=246867#post246867']Sorry Rik I was trying to chmod the CCcamOscamInstall and keep getting this message - root@ubuntu:~# /tmp/CCcamOscamInstall.sh
-bash: /tmp/CCcamOscamInstall.sh: /bin/sh^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory.

Sorted the problem above by using a different root password to the one I was using before all up and running again now to add the configs for omnikey etc.

  • tacapall

you should of left it as it was
    you had it working
all you needed to get oscam on its own was

    in terminal
    type

    Code
    sudo -i

    then type your password
    that will make you root

    type

    Code
    killall CCcam.x86

    now close the terminal

    then go to

    /usr/local/bin/CCcam.x86

    rename CCcam.x86 to CCcam.x86.old

    then go to

    /var/script/CCcamCheck.sh
    rename CCcamCheck.sh to CCcamCheck.sh.old

    /var/etc

    rename all cccam stuff .old

    reboot

    that gets rid of cccam

then follow the oscam guides on here to set up your oscam configs

if you ever wanted to go back to cccam and oscam just rename the files removing .old

Am I right in thinking I put an F line into CCcam.cfg eg F: example example1 then the Cline would be C: myserver ###### example example1 which is then installed in dreambox ?

    Thanks in advance

    • Official Post

Those configs look spot on and the log confirms it`s working.. I have attached working configs that will update a UK card..

FTP oscam config files to /usr/local/etc folder..

When updating CCcam.cfg FTP it to /var/config folder then run this in telnet:

    Code
    /var/script/configupdate.sh

Some useful commands for stop/start oscam & CCcam:-

    Stop:

    Code
    killall -9 oscam
    killall -9 cccam_2.1.3

    Start:

    Code
    /usr/local/bin/oscam -b
    /usr/local/bin/cccam_2.1.3

That`s correct, client connecting to the server within your own network uses the server ip address, connection from outside the network uses a hostname.

    Example:-
    Server CCcam.cfg:

    Code
    F: user password

    Client CCcam.cfg internal:

    Code
    C: 192.168.1.86 12000 user password

    Client CCcam.cfg external:

    Code
    C: my.new.hostname.dyndns.org 12000 user password

Port 12000 is the SERVER LISTEN PORT in CCcam.cfg file, make sure you change this to something else rather than the default port..

  • Quote

the Cline would be C: myserver ###### example example1 which is then installed in dreambox

    Thats correct, cline would be
    c: myserver port example example1
Where port is the server listening port in your cccam config file (i think it may default to 12000 but you can use any one you like as long as you change it in your cccam config file)
    EG:
    c: myserver 12000 example example1

If you plan to share outside your network, this is the port that needs to be open in your router in order to let peers connect to you, and your talking about getting a dns at this point too.

Have a look here for an explanation of the line makeup and also on how to lock a line to a specific dns, package, reshare etc
    http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=4

Also, i normally change the au entry to the reader label you want to update

    Change to :

    Quote

    au = ***uk

Same as reader label (although i still thinks it updates with "1" as an entry)

  • Thank you to everyone for your help, all is up and running sweet.

I dont know if this is important or not but when I was testing some of the card reader configs with the paired card inserted in the omnikey there was one config that displayed the first part of my postcode, which was the correct city where I live, I was surprised, is that normal ?
