    on the sys info screen you punch in 77777 or 88888 and it comes up with an id number.
    You compare that number with a known good list that is posted on the net.
    my genuine receiver is an 085B.Doesn't matter what firmware you load except the aug 2012 anonymousx firmware will kill a genuine receiver.
