Updating Conax In Enabled Card Slot

If i have a conax enabled slot on my VU+, can i simply update entitlements on my conax card with CCcam ??

No, the slot does not have conax embedded only enabled, so you will need a conax cam for updating entitlements or try Mgcamd.

Ahh right....So i need to put Mgcamd on my Solo, and then find a working config for Mgcamd so i can update this card, i am not used to enigma 2 machines yet, you got any pointers ?

I have got Satellite BG @ 23.5 east, i am not sure which way to go with this as my spiderbox only really likes connecting to 2.1.1.

For updating entitlements you can create a new account in oscam and add a c line to cccamd.list in /var/keys/ then restart Mgcamd, or use the configs below.

How to : Mgcamd + Oscam SatelliteBG Conax

You will need to edit the Mgcamd script so its starts Mgcamd and oscam together, if you need help with that let me know buddy.

Thanks for that, i shall have a play later. I have got a Conax cam here, but the card is not even updating in that !
All the screen says is " No Access " :doubt: I know that when i first used the card the entitlements were up until the 18th of this month, however i let them run out as i simply forgot. Can you specify exacly what i should be doing for card to update in conax cam with my VU Solo..??? Once i get the dam card working i can concentrate on the other things....Cheers

If its inserted in the conax cam all you need to do is leave it on one of the channels you subscribe to and it should update.

Do i need to select common interface from within the blue button ?? Sorry for a really dumb and basic question, but i have never used a CI before.

Leave default cams like CCcam running as normal, insert the card into the conax cam and tune to a channel you subscribe to, should update within 10 seconds.

You will be able to see the card info from menu > setup > common interface

Go into conax conditional access, thats where the subscription status is.

It seems to of updated now...many thanks indeed for your help. I need to install Oscam / Mgcamd now....do you know where i can get a working .ipk file ?
