Hi guys I bought a DM800 HD prv
i am trying to connect through dcc it finds ruter and box but the i get this message
error 10057 socket is not connected
any help please.

Are you sure you are using the correct ip address for the dreambox ? In connection type choose direct crossover then click search tab, this will find the dreambox if it`s connected on your network. Make sure DHCP is turned on in dm800 network settings, once you get it connected with DCC, change the ip address to static..

hi guys , the problem I have found out is that the password for the box has been changed and cant get hold of the guy who the box is from ( password for for filezilla ), can i do a full factory reset on this box if so how, Thanks in advance.

If you do a factory reset it will wipe everything.. Do you have your c line / share backed up ?
Look on the image plugin feed for a plugin that can change the password.. If you can`t find anything you are gonna need to contact the guy who has set the password..

hi master, the guy wont give us the password as he was the guy who sold the box with gift, its so I have to buy from him again and I deffo dont want to.

You could try this Dreambox Password cracker/resetter Enigma2, or this OpenPlugin: Change Root Password..
You could install TSPanel then choose the tools option to change the password..
Copy these plugins on to a USB stick, insert into the receiver then follow on screen instructions..

Menu > Setup > Factory Reset.

when ive added one of these files to usb, when plugged in this message comes up

Which image and version are you using ? The first 2 plugins are for old images/mipsel.ipk oe 1.6. If you have one of the latest images they won`t install, you need mips32el.ipk oe 2.0.. Try TSPanel instead, it comes for both old and new images..
