OK, now is the 0103 all the functionality to check the flash with the built in dFlash nand_check fix as it was previously available only as an independent check on flash plugin.




Man only needs to press the Info button when you are in dFlash :-)




When flashing itself is still being distributed / dev/mtd1 therefore checked the room for the SSL and possibly denied.




Only I do not think that will change now because what :-(




But the dFlash thread started with a discussion of ethics is not for nothing ...

Any way by this plugin, the image of your backup images Plugin not installed.
This is particularly important in respect Dreambox 800HD, otherwise you are faced with Dream Multi Media Error error.

Also nachdem ich mich sonst über die Camembert Diskussionen zu sehr aufrege machen wir lieber was sinvolles und testen was anderes Böses.

Seitdem wir nfi dump zum Flashen verwenden kann ich eigentlich beliebig steuern ob und was beim Neu flashen eines Images überschrieben wird (sofern noch genug ferier Platz vorhanden ist).

Eines der bösen Dinge die man nun tun kann ist z.B. nur die Files die im neuen Image sind neu schreiben und damit ist man in der Lage alles was man nach dem Flashen installiert hat an files zu behalten (Voldemoort, Settings, Skins, Plugins,...)

Das ist zwar NICHT immer sinnvoll - weil der Skinn vieleicht im neue(re)n Image nicht mehr geht, etc ABER nachdem die Leute ständig danach fragen habe ich einfach entschieden mal wieder was böses zu tun und dieses 'Feature' (wenn auch nur versteckt) ins dFlash offiziell reinzumachen.

Also falls wer Lust hat das zu testen ladet Euch die dFlash 1.4 runter, installiert sie und macht dann nach init 4 in die settings folgende Zeile rein:

config.plugins.dflash.overwrite=true

Dann sollten eben beim Flashen des Images einiges vom alten Überbleiben :-)

Wenn man diese versteckte Setting Einstellung nicht reinmacht bleibt aber im dFlash 1.4 alles wie es ist - also keine Angst !

So we come but not if 30 people download and none reported.




But when I wanted to anyway dFlash miss even one as long as the Dumbo Configuration screen and the surface a bit unify I've made a 1.5 on the first page.




And yes of course there are also overwrite the settings - for debugging purposes.




The things that you do not understand but let's better to false or ask beforehand what to do really :-)




If someone is bland but it can make all the new texts in the English po file (but nachsehebn in plugin.py, because often the text is composed of multiple strings, the only _ (translate "xxx" to go) - and then stop Post a new po file and may also translate the same in German, because for that I'm just tired.

Nachdem das nan dwrite nicht so tut wie ich will habe ich mal in eine 1.6 was anderes eingebaut das getestet gehört.




Bei meinen Streifzügen in anderen Boards (Bildungsurlaub ?) habe ich schon vor einiger Zeit einen Trick gefunden wie man mittels loopdevice sehr wohl auch über Netzwerk swappen kann. Für Dauerbetrieb wäre mir das zu wackelig, aber als temporärer Workaround für Dreamboxen wo man nur ein NAS zur Verfügung hat (500HD & co) denke ich reicht es aus und schon weil man sich dann eben den enigma2 Restart sparen kann ist es das wert es mal zu testen.




In der 1.6 auf der ersten Seite gibt es also in den Einstellungen die Möglichkeit swappen aufs loopdevice aufzudrehen, wenn man dann als sicherungsdevice 'nur' einen Netzwerkmount angibt und auch kein lokales swapfile hat dann sollte es OHNE enigma2 restart funktionieren temporär ein swapfile auf den netzwerkmount zu haben.




Bitte testet das mal ein bisschen.




Am besten geht es im OoZooN image weil das hat das loop device jetzt fix im Kernel verbaut.




Ansonsten muss man es evt. erst vorher im Image nachinstallieren mit:




mit ipkg update && ipkg install kernel-module-loop




Laden tut es das dFlash dann bei Bedarf selbst im backup script.

The 1.7 is now on the first page. Since there are no other owners, the NAS device in the box now, not just swap over the loop back up to turn on when there is but one image to copy / var for setting a flash.




To be able to bring it dFlash in flashing from one network mounts where you have put safeguards before flashing on / var is copied to flash locally can be one without the box on the device has.




That works really quite well if the images are not too large and therefore fit in well in var /.




What the box with 64MB of flash should almost always be the case. In 8000 and the 7020HD should rather not be used, but there is also no problem at least to put a stick in order to secure and there to swap.




For disk-free 800/500HD/800se but I think it should work quite useful.




You have to test it myself but the.

Regardless, after the gladen was down 1.8 of 450 people and 3 (in words THREE) deemed useful to have the test and report varcopy I have it replaced by a use of a 1.9 flashing setting for ramfs. Please test and report whether that copying a nfi images from the NAS or network mounts into memory to flash works better than using / var I think so, because it should place the problems in the / var to be over as long as the box still has enough free memory - what so stopped at Enigma2 like it is when flashing but should be enough for some time.
Please test and report. At the back up to NAS with loop device for swapping I've changed nothing, because that seems the 1.8 does indeed have been satisfactory to. And as with the 1.8 it is used on 8000 and 7020HD does not really make sense to these features, but you tried it yet anyway ... And new for Italian Language file of blu8 should still be inside in the 1.9 - thanks again. Thx gutemine

In the 2.5 I have packed inside the current nfidump and adapted to  the new WebIF the web interface, so that will be displayed in dFlash  WebIF under Tools. Errors were usually so reportet no more, so the 2.5 should also be  stable again so that the image builder they can make to your feeds.

I'm in the second dFlash * As promised, the settings menu modified so that if one has not turned up in enigma2 the expert settings, only the DAC settings are safe visibly.




In the 2.7 I have packed inside the current writenfi and adapted to the new WebIF the web interface, so that will be displayed in dFlash WebIF under Tools.




Errors were usually so reportet no more, so the 2.7 should also be stable again so that the image builder they can make to your feeds.

Hi!




I must first break a little discussion of ethics from the fence before I post to you, depending on the outcome of the discussion, the plug-in.




Who is still on the flash with the d-box reminds maybe a little sad how simple it was then.




For current box just new image to / tmp FTPen, flashing in the menu to select image is flashed, box will reboot and a new image is on it.




Actually, this goes to the boxing legend. LowFat or the beta of your couch flashing in Barry Allen makes even so, only then is it just not boot from the flash but makes only about what the NFI also makes the Flash plug-in DMM but it requires a separate USB stick to boot.




I would of course not good mine if I had not tried it would also at whether the current image from the flash ;-)




After the answer is YES, there is this thread.




The d-Flash plugin actually what makes it quite simple:




It leaves the box in the console mode (init 1) so that virtually nothing is running the Flash WHILE the flash could change.




Then the root filesystem read-only re-mounts (yes in the console mode) and the normal binary writenfi of DMM to the nfi file to flash to / tmp.




Then immediately reboot the box and starts with the new image as if you have the Flash plug-in DMM NFI and a USB stick flashed the new box.




After that nevertheless is definitely NOT like DMM has provided that and neither would I still DMM accept any responsibility if anything goes wrong, I think it makes already sense the first time to ask the group whether make appropriate disclaimer is something public is so that it each DAC can also use (and it probably is - laziness always wins).




I am personally of the opinion that similar to the sofa and LowFat bottles of BA (which yes, for similar reasons, namely the abuse of writenfi binaries will always be only BETA) you can certainly do that.




I believe that actually happen nothing you with a Mullmodemkabel and DreamUP and possibly flashing with Recover Bad Sectors could not fix it.




But of course I can also totally wrong!




Well then discussed once beautiful and brave testers can also report additional :-)




If you've ignored the disclaimer and the box will not boot after flashing please do not flash your Dreambox as it says in the disclaimer with DreamUP and makes a precaution to Recover Bad Sectors in DreamUP. And not spamming the thread to ask then what you can do instead of doing it!
