i've just found out how to do it via file transfer and done it by that manner, now the .img comes out lol.

What file location you using to do update via WINscp , i just installed 5.0.5 into nand on 1 of my weteks as bricked it anyrd so may aswell i thought lol,

many thanx in advance not did it this way yet so may aswell eh :)

didn't use winscp mate.

used filezilla via port 22>>>>> /storage/.update

just to say mate it's a doodle this way....can't believe it's took me 3 day's to find out how lol.

in my opinion it's so much easier and quicker the way i said, it installs and boots the box automaticly.

ive used this to update my nand OpenElec via samba ,rebooted it updates and reboots again
now says unifishial OE davos or somin @ top oh splash screen ;)

yes mate that's why i used Filezilla, much simpler prog to use.

whats the best for nand was the rar file i extracted and chucked the files over all 4 oh em just to be sure ;)

still says unofficial though :)
