2tb hardrive clicking

Hi any help would be greatly appreciated
i bought and installed a new western digital wd20eurx 2tb hard drive internal sata into my vu+duo2
but all i get is a clicking noise and vix wont load (if i un plug hard drive vix loads)
any ideas??

Some newer sata drives need to be jumpered to be compatible with slower interfaces.

Try "opt1" jumper...

the hard drive was faulty
got one out of an old sky box that seems to be working fine if not a little noisy.
