android mx box 2 and acestream

I have installed acestream and player apk on the box,when I try to open a m3u for acestream im only getting an option to open it with music or xbmc,why is there no option to use acestream,to get the m3u file to load into acestream I need to go to file manager and it lets me use acestream to open it,then when its loaded the list does not scroll down I can only see about 7 channels then you need to scroll down,how do I fix that,is it because im using a remote and you need an airpad
