Well,
Ok, I finally (after listening to you guys) did bit the apple and asked the guy if he could give me some more lines for my other friends. (See this for an update: http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=87349)
The thing was that he asked me if I could hook him up with my sister for a date. Said and done I talked her in to that after begging and some sugar talking her...
So this way he gave me a “newcamd” line where I could hook up a couple of friends.
I set up a newcamd connection following this article: http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=12230
So my set up looks like this:
QuoteDisplay Moreoscam.conf
[global]
serverip = xx.xxx.xx.xx
logfile = stdout
clienttimeout = 9000
fallbacktimeout = 7500
clientmaxidle = 0
netprio = 1
dropdups = 1
block_same_ip = 0
block_same_name = 0
[cccam]
port = 55007
nodeid = 47181FA7105D13C6
version = 2.3.0
ignorereshare = 1
[webif]
httpport = 65003
httpuser = xxxxxxxxxx
httppwd = xxxxxxxxxx
httprefresh = 10
httppollrefresh = 10
httpallowed = 0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255
QuoteDisplay Moreoscam.user
[account]
user = Bastardo
pwd = xxxxxxxxxxx
description = Bastardo
monlevel = 4
group = 3
cccmaxhops = 2
cccreshare = 2
[account]
user = Mike
pwd = xxxxxxxx
monlevel = 4
group = 3
cccmaxhops = 2
cccreshare = 2
QuoteDisplay More[reader]
label = Barnaby
protocol = newcamd
device = xxxxxxxx.xxxxx.xxxx,55033
key = 0102030405060708091011121314
user = test
password = test
connectoninit = 1
group = 3
blockemm-unknown = 1
blockemm-u = 1
blockemm-s = 1
blockemm-g = 1
dropbadcws = 1
audisabled = 1
All is up and running quite well, but I have some questions:
A. Do you think it is OK?
B. My users Mike and Bastardo, should they have “cccmaxhops = 2” and “cccreshare =2”. Are they really needed? I don’t want to reshare anything.
C. I don’t have any “AU” set on any users and no “AU” on the reader. The guy tells me that that the “newcamd” connection to his server has “AU” set. Will that be enough to update my users?
D. If you have any further suggestions I’m all ears ;)
