hey i cam trying to set up crossepg on my parents amiko alien2+ box... I have hyperion 4.5 runnig but the cross epg downloader just wont run and so we cant see whats on tv unless you click on that channel.....
Now this is silly i know but i have no hard drive installed in the back as a recorder yet... Is this the problem and can it be worked round till they buy a hard drive?

How do you have crossepg configured ? Which epg data provider are you using, OpenTV, rytec etc ? Are you storing epg data on flash memory, usb or hdd ? EPG data can only be downloaded on specific channels, not all channels have the full data. A channel list like catseye will have bouquets with all the channels that include epg data.
