    Tried the line you sent above and got this message

    Ok - So now i have managed to do the catseye install

    Install Finish - Restart GUI

    I restarted - The black hole image logo came on - I still have a black screen with VU+ SOLO2 showing on the front display of the box


    If i press menu etc on the remote nothing happens?

    its seems like its not fully booting to the image - are there other files i need to ftp / telnet to enable it to boot up

    Cool - If it is a clone - Is there a perticular image it should be on? ( not that im saying it is a clone just saves another message )

    Hi guys / gals,


    Ive done all the checks MasterG provided and I'm happy to say its not a clone (Phew) -


    Hopefully we can get this working now as I've no tv :(

    Try this BlackHole 2.1.7 Vu+ Solo2 Full Backup image by mckee25
    in POST#1...
    Read carefully the contents and the FTP password is vuplus
    Steps to follow are exactly the same as you have flashed before....
    The difference is that most of it will be already set up for you..
    You´ll need to update the channel list ( use the catseye IPK I uploaded before ) All FTA should be available...
    And to watch P.P.V channels you´ll have to set up your own personal configuration for your card....
    let us know how you get on bud...

    I've installed the update and the last photo is what is on my display - Again black screen - Not able to utilise the RCD


    Still cant access the FTP tho to install catseye

    read the full thread fo any other little niggles resolved...
    Try using DCC ( in the DCC folder on windows ,you´ll see DCC.ini file, right mouse to edit,,you´ll see the password there)
    Have you got the LNB /dish cable connected to tuner 1 ???
    Is your dish correctly set up??
    just asking all this to eliminate possibilities..

    I cant see the DCC your mentioning - Theres nothing like that in the vuplus folder of the update - Im using a mac too

    I used an amiko alien2 for years till it gave up never once needed help this forum is well informative... Im just at a loss with this now i think

    Have you got the LNB /dish cable connected to tuner 1 ??? - yes
    Is your dish correctly set up?? - yes using the cables from my sly hd box
    just asking all this to eliminate possibilities..

    DCC is the alternative to Filezilla,, nonetheless I´d forgotten you´re on mac....
    Dont give up just yet buddy...

    BTW-- how long since you bought the solo2 ?? Is it still under guarantee?
    Might be some hardware faulty....but as I say dont give up yet....
    try ,try again..... we all come across hiccoughs along the way
    but there´s always somebody ready to give a helping hand to those who persevere..

    If it does turn out to be a clone then do NOT TRY WHAT I SUGGESTED about the original image as it will more than likely brick your box....
    We do not support vu+ clones here as you know from reading the rules...

    How else can i tell if its a clone? - Ive sent images can you tell?
