  • Hi guys,

I'm wondering if there is anyone who can shed some light on what I'm doing wrong as I can't seem to get Oscam working.
I'll try to be as detailed as I can.

I currently have an AA2 Box with E2 loaded and the image file Hyperion 4.5. (http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=78344) Actually Picked this up off Boards.ie initially.
This image had Oscam_10000 ready to go. I have a C Line which I have used on another box in the house so there shouldn't be any problems with that.

What I have done so far is
    1) Logged on to Oscam via my browser and I have input my C Line converted to Oscam in the Section Files->Oscam.server.
    2) I haven't edited anything else in any of the sub headings(.conf/.user etc.). Not quite sure if I am meant to or not.
    3) On my box I then clicked into the EMU Manager and Restarted the CAM. However this doesn't kickstart everything.

I've noted that in the top half that it states "Active CAM: oscam 10000" and that "Mapping CA1 to CA0" is enabled
and in the bottom half under the cardserver section it states "No ECM info"

Below I've detailed what my Oscam files currently are. Again I've only edited the final bit of oscam.server
I appreciate it if anyone could help point out what I'm missing or doing wrong! Cheers.

  • I am not using hyperion, but I know different alien images prefer different settings for boxtype. Maybe you can try boxtype = ipbox.
Or wait for an. oscam expert to reply. :)

Sent from my KFTT using Forum Fiend v1.3.3.

  • Thanks for the reply guys. Done both of your suggestions and neither done the trick unfortunately.
Still puzzled why it's not working.

  • A bit of a silly question but is it a C line or N line you have? (don't really need to differentiate between the two when running cccam as client but you may do when running oscam).
If it is an N line, your server file would look something like so:

Use cccam convertor to convert it to oscam.server file (making sure you select N line if thats the type of line you have)

Don't think you need betatunnel entry in dvbapi account if your only getting 0963 caid. (I never needed it for 28.2)
Save settings then try restarting oscam through the webif or rebooting alien.

Is your other receiver running when your trying your alien as some have their servers restricted to only one login per line (you may be showing as a double logon on your peers/friends server which may not be allowed)

  • I have a C Line so I think the format provided by Blueboy is the correct one.
And yes I have the other box disconnected so that shouldn't be an issue I would think.

Re-booted everything there again and still no luck. There's still no active server showing up. This is quite frustrating!

  • Just to update guys, after tweaking around with a few things in the file I've got all systems going.

    Thanks for the replys everyone!

  • I was messing around and I chanced seeing would it work with Spark.

Over on Boards.ie there is thread for Spark/Alien 2. I downloaded the oscam 10669 files via https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vdc…3hhyz1smLPNuSr_an2Ma?dl=0
Set everything up on spark and edited my server details to oscam.server and it worked! FTP these oscam files to my desktop. Rebooted in Enigma and then FTP overwrote my original Oscam files which weren't working and restarted my Oscam 10000 and bingo Oscam was working in Hyperion. Obviously there was just an issue somewhere in my original oscam files somewhere.

I was playing around with so many things I think this is what done the trick for me, whether by skill or luck(most likely luck) it's up and going anyway!
