ISP blocking ports?

    Anyone heard of this before ? isp blocking ports ?
    just an idea as in the past on ftp & usenet my isp has blocked connection & had to go ssl
    can this happen with other services as another service i have has just stopped & is showing online in my cfg
    on 2 identical boxes at the same time so not a box problem.
    could be server end trying to find out!

    Im on talktalk never had that kind of problem on anything including usenet, then again I've always had SSL on. But from what I've read there not the kind of ISP to do stuff life that. Only problem I had once is when I destroyed my bandwidth one month and they throttled my speed.
