  • hello there i have just had a Virgin Media Hub modem router installed its an intergrated unit that has the wirelesss built in i have been in the settings but not sure if i can use port forwarding is anyone fammiler with this

  • I would personally turn off the wireless part and use it as a modem only, you can do this by going into modem modem I had the exact same problem and gave up port forwarding i contacted netgear no help and virgin no help.Ive connected my lynksys router to the end port and it works perfectly port forwarding etc mine was the superhub but iam guessing its the same idea really

  • I should say that the posts i made before this one refer to my old 20MB hub not the 100+ Mb hub.

The 100mb hub is a crock of sh*t. I have had to upgrade (if thats what they call it) to the 100mb superhub and i am now just running it in modem mode as it refuses to port forward like the old one did.

Just go out and buy a wireless DSL cable router and put the superhub into modem only mode. It works a lot better than using the superhub on its own. My wireless signal is now also a lot stronger also has a lot less drop outs than it would with the superhub on its own.
