Taking a dish over to setup for a mates apartment and Looking on dishpointer 1m will be fine but other people say 1.5m , anyone got any thoughts! , plus its a ski resort so what about snow tolerances

I read of people managing with a 1.2 on clear days but 1.5 seems to be the recommended size.
