Yes you can, but you may have to change a few little things (in your router) if your using your receiver as a server (ip address/forwarded ports etc) and sharing externally.
If it is only a client box, all should be ok.
Remember to delete your configs from your old receiver if you plan on selling it/giving it away (or just flash an image onto it)
If you plan on using both boxes with the same share (no server of your own), best contact your peer to ask their permission.
I presume your using the same image on both as some images have different config locations.
