Patch Firmware Ariva 52 / 102e / 102mini / 103 / 103 mini /1 50/ 152 / 153 / 202e / 203 / 250 / 252

Hi Thanks for the new patched firmware. I have put in on my 102E box. Most channels are working fine but the documentary channels are not working. Any ideas on fixing this would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Channel issues are usually down to them moving frequencies, not due to firmware (normally).
Try re-scanning in your missing channel frequencies again and adding/re-adding them to your favourites lists, (you can get the frequencies from lyngsat/kingofsat/ flysat)

I'm newbie on this stuff, I have ferguson ariva 150 and I tried to upgrade firmware via and something gone wrong, the box says ASK no picture nothing happening

Ariva update via RS 232 (if completely "vytuhne" and even lit display)

STB Upgrade Program Erőmű 2.0.0.c

1. Switch off the power switch back Ariva

2.Link the second serial crossover cable (RS-232) with the receiver and PC

3. Run STB EROM Upgrade 2.0.0.c,, set the correct COM port number -> Browse to find a new FW, for example. 1.03B5.abs or setting (DumpFile.abs)

-> Include bootloader -> Next

1,will appear : Synchronizing STBs... Please reset target!

2.Now turn Ariva should appear: Done

3.and starts stretching FW to the receiver (it takes about 2min.)

4.after the program lists, see: table, ->Next

5.FW begins writing to a receiver, DO NOT TURN OFF! (Takes about 3 minutes).

6,successful program reports an upgrade if -> Next program goes into default tables see. Item 3. if -> Finished program closes - now switch the receiver off the rear power switch and disconnect the crossover cable (RS 232)

Difficulties in upgrading and solutions (reposted)

If it fails to properly integrate into about 10 seconds, there will be "Set STB memory error, Click Back to try again." Going a step back again Next, reset Ariva ....

If does not help repeated attempt, try another COM port (port number), or try another PC with COM port (eg a neighbor), just older and a "ham". It might help to reduce the communication speed to 57600, I tried it.

If you use a USB / RS232 can be a problem in it that can not handle high speed. Usually it is somehow wrong set COM port on the PC.

zdec also recommends this:
