test server

    hi all im just wondering if there is anyway to test a server for connection without a card stream fta or something similar just to know the stb is connect and receiving data from it thanks in advance

    To test if you can make an internet connection to a service, you can always try telnet.

    Code
    telnet <ip address> <port>

    Depending on the service, you will probably just get a little garbage and probably disconnected, but it will show you are able to connect to the ip/port in question.
