    Download the latest oscam for mips-tuxbox-oe2.0 (All Dreambox HD & VU) from here ->


    If you are using a spark / sh4 receiver like amiko alien use this ->


    For 4K / UHD receivers use this ->


    With an FTP tool like

    The program is intended exclusively for handling Enigma2 boxes over the network. Enigma1 version is also attached.

    connect to the receiver and navigate to /usr/bin folder.


    Here you will find the old oscam binary.. You can delete or rename it to oscam1 just in case you want to use it again.


    Extract the downloaded version with

    WinRAR is a file compression program that can be used to open, create and decompress RAR, ZIP and other format files. The latest version also supports RAR5, the new compression algorithm.

    then FTP the new version to the /usr/bin folder. If the binary you extract from the download is named something like "oscam-svn11052-openpli40-webif-etc" it needs to be renamed to just "oscam".


    Change Attributes / File permissions on the new oscam binary to 755. This can be done by right clicking on oscam.

    FTP to /etc/ right click on the start / stop script and choose edit.. You can download this file and edit on the desktop with notepad++..


    Example script name - oscam.emu is attached..


    Editing this line will show the correct version of oscam in softcam manager.. Enter the latest version used then save:

    Im using openatv 5.3 at the moment and I installed the 11279 oscam via IPK.


    Im trying to get this working but i get this error:

    The thing is my oscam config files are in usr/keys i think and this version 11279 take those files from somewhere else?


    The emu is already installed and i can access the web interface only that i can't edit or copy my files.


    How should i go about this?

    It's looking in the above directories (in red) for your key files, if they are not there, I'd suggest you move them to either of those directories maybe?

    They are not in there.
    I try moving them there but oscam doesn't seem to find them.
    One thing I noticed,if I start the other oscam it works.I mean it's like 2 oscam are running at the same time in my box.
    What I need it's the config files from older version to work in the 11279 new version.
    So over webif I have 2 oscams now.

    From what i understand if you change oscam the original config files will still be in place from the old oscam

    You know what i am gonna speak out loud here, i have had enigma boxes for about 3 months now and i am starting to feel up to speed with whats what


    One thing i have not got my head around completely is oscam/ncam configuration


    When i install oscam 11274 on my HD51 it automatically creates oscam.server


    So i add my newcamd for vermin and cccam for multi sat readers


    Now if i look at post's regarding to BISS/powervu Master G for example will provide a configs file containing oscam.server oscam.user oscam.reader


    Why do you need these if these files are already automatically created?

    I got it working now.
    It's all well explained by Master G above.
    I renamed the old oscam to oscam1(In case i want to use it later in the future) and the new oscam 11279 to just oscam.Then i startet oscam and
    it took my config files¡¡¡Just as i wanted it.
    Ahh one thing i noticed also is that in my box softcam pannel it shows the old oscam(11245)running and not the new oscam 11279.It doesn't matter anyway.

    Yes im sure.
    I can watch my channels in the room in client box.
    My cards are showing there¡ 1 of them show no entittlements but its normal for that one :)

    Unfortunately my Tntsat card only opens 3 channels.
    I was hoping this version of oscam would solve that problem but it didn't.
    Don't know if it needs some extra configs.

    OSCam doesn`t create any config files.. The ipk you install will contain the config files along with oscam and start / stop scripts.. Depending who the creator of the ipk was, they may or may not have added any config files..


    OSCam will not work properly without the 3 main oscam config files .conf, .server & .user.. To view any channels you need dvbapi enabled in oscam.conf and an account setup for it in oscam.user, as well as a reader in oscam.server..


    Regular oscam can only emulate BISS keys and read a constant.cw file. You need oscam-emu or ncam to use a softcam.key, which opens more keys..

    To emuname = OSCam 11279
    You will now see the correct oscam version in softcam manager..

    Hi Master G,


    I'm using OpenAtv5.3 and have11245 working. I downloaded it as an IPK file from here.


    I have followed your instructions and can ftp the new bin file and also edit the .emu file. It's showing the updated name in the softcam panel but it won't start the Cam.


    Is thus something to do with the stop start bit you mention? Because that's the only bit I'm condfused by. By the way I have changed permissions.


    Any ideas?

    The oscam 11245 ipk is mips-tuxbox-oe2.0. Is that the version you were trying ?


    Can you start it in telnet ?
