  • Hi, I'm a total newbie at satellite stuff and I don't know what I'm doing.

The only place that I can fix my motorised 110 dish is on the back of my garage, so the dish is just over the top of the roof. Unfortunately there is a 2 foot wall 5 feet in front of where the dish will be.

There is also a street lamp at the end of the garage about 10 foot away.
Do you think there will be a problem getting various signals?

I only ask as setting this lot up for it not to work will be a total waste of time and a bit demoralising.

  • Most likely not a problem, but you can look above under useful links for dishpointer. On Dishpointer, there is an option "show obstacle (line of sight checker)" which can show you the max height obstacles can be at selected distances from the dish.
