1. Install image.
Download a USB image file, eg Black Hole Image or PLI

Unzip the ET9000 folder to the root directory of a USB Pen Drive.
Power off Receiver with switch on the back
Insert USB Pen Drive into the USB socket on Receiver
Power on Receiver.
Image Update message will appear on the front display.
Press the OK button behind the front flap.
Image will now install from the USB Stick.
Receiver will reboot once the install is complete.
Image is now installed.

Remove the USB Stick.

2. Network
Connect an Ethernet LAN cable from your router to your ET9000 Ethernet port.
Press Menu
Select Set Up Press OK
Select System Press OK
Select Network Press OK
Select Network w i z a r d and press OK.

3. How to Setup Motorised Dish using USALS

First get your longitude & latitude info from dishpointer.com
Enter your post code into dishpointer.com and you'll get the correct Longitude & Latitude info for your location.
Example if I enter the following UK postal code: M2 5DB

I get the following Longitude & Latitude:
Longitude: -2.244
Latitude: 53.479

Press Menu
Select Setup Press OK
Select Service searching Press OK
Select Tuner configuration Press OK
Select Tuner A and Press OK

Configuration Mode: Simple
Mode: Positioner
Longitude: 53.479
NORTH
Latitude: 2.244
WEST

Press OK to save.

Press Menu
Select Setup Press OK
Select service searching Press OK
Select Positioner Setup Press OK
Select goto 0 Press RED Button

Dish should now goto 1w.

4. Upload a Channel List
Download a pre-configured channel list example catseye's

Unzip the Channel List to your local HDD.
Example C:\Catseye E2 Settings File 75 East-58 West

Use ET9000 Control centre to upload channel list to receiver.

How to setup Receiver with VBox II DiSEqC 1.2 Positioner.

If your VBox II already has the satellite positions stored and your changing from an old receiver to ET9000 then follow this procedure.

Write down your VBox II satellite position numbers. These are the numbers displayed on the front of the VBox II when moving to a
specific satellite position. These position numbers can also be found in your old receivers motor setup menu.

Example lets say...
Position 1 on VBox II = Astra 19e
Position 2 on VBox II = Eutelsat W2 16e
Position 3 on VBox II = Hotbird 13e

You get the idea...

First send the dish to Astra 19e using Vbox II.

On ET9000 Remote Press Menu
Select Setup Press OK
Select Service Searching Press OK
Select Tuner configuration Press OK
Select Tuner A Press OK

Now set Configuration Mode to Advanced. Use Left or Right keys on remote to select.

Configuration Mode: Advanced
Satellite: Astra 19e
LNB: 1
DiSEqC mode: 1.2

Scroll down to botton of the page with the down arrow on remote.

Stored position: 001

Press OK to store.

OK that's Astra 19e setup now to setup Eutelsat W2 16e

Now send the dish to Eutelsat 16E using Vbox II.

Select Setup Press OK
Select Service Searching Press OK
Select Tuner configuration Press OK
Select Tuner A Press OK

download flipflop e1 boquet from here and open with dreambox edit.
click tools then update satxml ( add services from boquet )
Load to box as normal.

transfer the attached file to /tmp/ and manuallly install it.

the ipk will automatically reboot your box after installation, it will now appear in the plugins menu (green button)

this ipk will check if youve installed the previous version, if so, it will remove it and re-install the plugin and place a new script in /usr/script. if not, it will install as normal.

edit the .sh script in /usr/script with your file locations

Firstly What We Need To Do Is Download And Install Ubuntu 10.04Lts Or Ubuntu 10.10

Okay Now That We Have Downloaded And Install Ubuntu Desktop Onto Our Pc, We Can Move Onto Setting Up Our CCcam And Creating The File Directories But Make Sure You Have Set Static Ip.

Now Open Terminal And Type:

Sudo ?i

Now Type Your Password.

Okay As You Done The Above We Need To Install SSH, Proftpd, Apache2 And Php5.

Install SSH Type:

Apt-Get Install Openssh-Server

Once Done Install FTP Server Proftpd Type:

Great You Made It This Far We Need To Start Adding Our Files And Scripts.

Now Extract The Folder Which You Downloaded From This Link:
Put CCcam.x86 In To Folder /Usr/Local/Bin
Now You Have Done That We Need To Give It The Rights.
In Terminal Type:

Chmod 755 /Usr/Local/Bin/CCcam.x86

Now That?s Done Lets Move Onto Adding CCcam.cfg, CCcam.channelinfo And CCcam.provider Into Folder: /Var/Etc That?s All Done.
We Need To Allow CCcam.x86 To Start Up When You Start And Restart Your Pc.
In Terminal Type:

Nano /Etc/Rc.local

Now In Terminal It Should Have Opened Up Rc.Local File And We Need To Write In There : /Usr/Local/Bin/CCcam.x86 And Save The File.
Okay Now We Need To Add The Scripts Which Ive Provided I Don?t Take No Credit For Writing The Scripts, All Credits Go To Orginal Authors.
Located In The Script Folder Should Be :

LogCleanup.sh

What We Need To Do Next Is Add Your Owner Name In The LogCleanup.sh

?what I do is restart the CCcam every morning because of the automatic configupdate
I stop the server every night then it has enough time to install the new config and restart
CCcam, the reason why I do it like this is that sometimes the card reader can/will not be detected
this way it always works. And te reason I start this at 3:56 it has to be done in 4 minutes because
of the CCcamCheck script. it would restart CCcam when the yob is not done yet.
that?s why we need to make a Cron job ;?
