had another play and i've sorted it, one more thing with the box came a mini disc with drivers on and in the plugins there was a option to download the drivers do i need them.

I did not get this with mine, but if its working well i would leave the disc well alone mate. Everything needed should be included in the image file.
Press menu, scroll to plugins and press ok.
Plugins menu will appear, press green to download plugins.
Scroll down to softcams, press ok and you will see it there.
Its under plugins/download plugins/softcams 2.2.1 is the version on the panel.
CCcam.cfg ---> /var/etc -----> Configuration file, where we set the Clients and Friends and additional configuration.
CCcam.bin ---> /var/bin -----> This is the binary file ( like the .exe in windows ) This file should have 755 permission. (Right click in this file with your preferred FTP client and click set attributes). Otherwise CCcam will not start
CCcam.prio ---> /var/etc -----> This file is where you can set your priority cards or ignore any cards ( not necessarily needed to run CCcam )
CCcam.channelinfo ---> /var/etc -----> In this file you can put the channel info for the web interface, so you will see which channel is decoding CCcam instead of seeing the sid ( not necessarily needed to run CCcam )
CCcam.providers ---> /var/etc -----> In this file you can put the provider info for the web interface, so you will see which package is decoding CCcam instead of seeing the caid ( not necessarily needed to run CCcam )
SoftCam.Key ---> /var/keys -----> In this file you will find keys to open channel trough keys instead trough network ( not necessarily needed to run CCcam )
AutoRoll.Key ---> /var/keys ----> this file will have the next key the provider will have and will use the next automatically ( not necessarily needed to run CCcam )

warnings.txt ---> /tmp ----> Here you will find attempted logins to CCcam without your authorization , this file will be shown only if you have this line in CCcam.cfg **** LOG WARNINGS : /tmp/warnings.txt **** , be careful with this file as if you enable it and you have a lot of warnings you will run out of memory in your box
ecm.info ---> /tmp ----> this file will show you information about the encoding of the channel you are viewing
You can backup the system settings within the image itself.
"Menu", "Setup", "Software management", "Backup system settings", Press OK.
You can go even further in the software manager "advanced options".
As all above said mate, it is very handy and would be missed by many if it wasnt here, it may seem like there is no point at times just now but as the forum grows you will hopefully feel your work is more appeciated. Stick with it Marty we all appreciate the effort you are making.
No ca found by 2nd stage loader
This can be done in 2 ways.
1) You have to have a working dreambox.
2) DM800_repair, you alter dreamup to be able to use greyed buttons.
Now for the first sollution.
1) Connect working dreambox DM600/DM800.
2) Open dreamup, press connect.
3) When dreambox is found by dreamup, insert Null-Modem cable in
the broken dreambox.
4) Press flash button, and chose a firmware.
5) The flash progress will probably hang, its OK.
6) Open dreamup again, connect the broken box, press connect.
7) If all went ok, you can now flash box again, (Use only serial
communication)
Now for the second sollution
1) Connect broken dreambox DM600/DM800
2) Open dreamup, press connect.
3) When you see second loader error popup, just press ok.
4) Open
5) Drag DM800_repair in front of dreamup, and press dream multimedia logo.
6) Now press the greyed Flash button, and chose firmware.
7) The flash progress will probably hang, its OK.
Cool Open dreamup again, connect the broken box, press connect.
9) If all went ok, you can now flash box again, (Use only serial

Yes mate im afraid so.
Backup your channel lists ect with dbedit or dreamset, and cccam.cfg then its just a case of reflashing and setting up as before.

dreamDroid is my first development for Android. Please forgive me if it might at one point or another should not run as fast as we expected it (I've tried all of me-find bug fix).
Basically, the software on all devices with MDPI or hdpi run displays (G1, Magic, Milestone, Nexus One, Desire, etc).
Whether all screens LDPI-capable (HTC-entry devices, for example) I would not guarantee the fine traditional architecture combined ...

Have had this in the past with a netgear router, turning off UPnP solved the problem for me although it may not work for you mate.
My personal favourite for dm500 was plirulook but its a personal choice mate. This is the skin used in the dm500 tuts i made, well worth trying mate.
