is there any way off blocking there ip in the dreambox?
Not that i know of, but it can be done in your router before they rech your dreambox. -

Sorry for what might be a dumb question,.
Am I right that this only applies to servers with local cards, or will it help if all servers added the script.
Yes this is for local cards only, but if everyone with local used it all would see the benefit, Every card in your hops is somebodys local. -
Sorted it.
When the editor loads, you need to press i to enter insert mode.
Then add your line, then press Esc then ZZ to save (You must hold shift and press zz)0 4 * * * is 4am
1 4 * * * is 04:01am

Do I put
1 4 * * * /sbin/reboot
For a 4am reboot?
That is from the pli wiki but i think it should be 0 4 * * * /sbin/reboot
this will work either 4am or 2pm depending which you go for.As for the box being laggy check the load on cccam, block unwanted cards and monitor usage from your peers. -
1. install crond/crontab (default installed in pli images)
2. enable/start crond from blue panel, settings, services to run
3. from telnet issue crontab -e and put:1 x * * * /sbin/reboot
where x = the time you want to reboot your dreambox, calculated at 24-hour format
1 4 * * * /sbin/reboot
syntax of *:
minute / hour / day / month / dayofweek / command - the user root, reboot the system
Your dreambox will reboot every 4 am.
4. press Escape then ZZ to save and exit the editor

u top man OP!!! oh an another thing - when i exit after that step and press yello i cant sem to find "dreambox EPG config"?
how do i download that - manually or through dreambox downloads? cheers.
Im guessing you dont have the sqlite import plugin installed, follow these pics and try again.

When i select the 'tmp/' folder it comes out as '/'. I have tried that and saved it but than the box just goes to black screen and when i load up system setting again the default settings are back.
I also have the same problem as shocky67 - i get the "/" instead of "/temp" - please help OP, cheers
Can see where youre going wrong guys,
when your at this screen go to temp and press ok
Now press green to select
and it will save as /tmp, all you were missing is pressing ok after you nav to tmp.

I wish everybody would SID Assign there cards.
Alot of the failed remore ECM's must be down to cards not being SID Assigned and cccam thinking a card has a channel that it doesn't.SID Assign your cards everyone and optimize your server.
My thoughts exactly, if everyone used it cccam would run better for all, even full slyhd & espn gets alot of requests for porn/asian/box office channels ect. People forget this. Hopefully the cccam team can add a built in auto sidassign feature to the next version......... that really would make a difference. -
