If you set a recording manually on one channel can you then watch another at the same time ?. preferably one a different transponder so that we know its using the other tuner.

Aa stevejo says we need as much, detailed, accurate info about what is happening as you can provide. Otherwise this is going to turn into a never ending thread and any potential help will dry up from shear frustration if nothing else.

We still need debug logs mate, without them were guessing as to your issue. My self I have easily 30 recordings by timer every week on up to 7 receivers without any issues.

Activate debug logs then reboot the receiver. Once booted up try to play a recording, this should log what's going on in the denug log, we ideally need to see that info so we can offer you accurate help.

Ideally we need to see some debug logs from the incidents you describe, otherwise were just guessing as to the cause, and that wont help any one.

If i remember correctly we removed the flashing red light on the VFD due to user complaints, you can still see the flashing red record indicator on the first and second infobar by simply pressing the ok button at any time while watching tv.

as i said try killing enigma first before making changes, bouquet lists like EPG are held in live memory so editing them while the box box ix live can result in problems.

Depending on the image sometime you need to add the channel name at the end of the URL or in the #DESCRIPTION so I add it in both place.

Edit the file: /etc/enigma2/bouquets.tv

and add the line:

ideally you should issue the init 4 command first, BEFORE sending the files to /etc/enigma2 then issue the init 3 command once you have completed your task.

ch5 HD is a FTV channel and needs a minimum of a old deactivated card to clear it, ch5 SD is not encrypted it's FTA.

Format the stick via the image ( initialize ) so that it's in the linux EXT4 format.

You can ask your supplier to flash the image of your choice if you want, but it's good practice to start flashing it your self.

yo need to provide more details such as which image your using for a start. oh and as per forum rules you need to make a proper intro post too.

Anthony at satstation i heard was selling dm800 clones and passing them off as official boxes a few years ago so this thread has kinda made it look like the rumour has some truth in it...weird thing is and could and probably is pure coincedental is that i put a dreambox authenticty test link on the said forum and low and behold he vanished from the site a few weeks later as the site sponser!!

I know they were, about 18 months after i was banned i bumped into the main admin on another forum and he struck up a conversation quoting extracts from my PM's to another mod who was banned at the same time ( for sticking up for me no less ).

This game is all about the suppliers respecting their customers, unfortunately this isn't the case with some suppliers. I have had issues with some shops in the past and have made it known to everybody, and this has not just been with Lavatronics.

I am more than happy to praise shops that give good service like World of satellite. Now i'm not saying this because they are the site sponsor as i have been dealing with them long before they came to this site. Every transaction i have done with them has been a pleasure and even when i purchased an item which didn't meet my expectation the shop owner said he would quite happily have the item back.

The first item i purchased from them was a Vu+ Duo which was delivered at 8pm to the Hotel i was staying at whilst working in London. That is going above and beyond what is expected from a shop.

That is what you call customer service which is something that other suppliers could do well to try and emulate.

I have said it many times before, stef ( WoS ) goes out of his way to ensure his customers are happy with their purchase and is a rare breed in that his support does not end once the payment clears. He just came back from holiday yesterday and rather than staying closed till Monday as planned, he went strait to his shop and started to ship out orders that were made while he was away.

His service and after sales care is easily the best in the business.

I could be wrong but wasn't the BH 1.xx series based on the older 2.6.18 kernel ?, if so then it's possible that since the move to a kernel 3.1.1 based image your box has suffered the infamous memory leak that affects some Duo's on the 3.1.1 kernel image.
