My workaround was for SONOS 5.1 due to their lack of DTS (SUB, Playbar and 2 ONES).

In Kodi under audio options (make sure to set it to expert setup)

Set "number of channels" to 2.0. (some weird bug)
"Output configuration" to optimised.
"Enable Passthrough" on
"AC3 capable receiver" on
" - Enable Dolby Digital transcoding" on
"DTS capable receiver" off

I'd still prefer some form of passthrough and DD transcoding in Enigma2 if possible :) Happy with the workaround for now though

Ultimately SONOS should pull their finger out and support DTS

I found a work around using Kodi on a rasberry pi2 bypassing DTS and transcoding to DD. Works sweet and my report now shows output as 5.1. Sounds awesome

Would still prefer to do this from Enigma2 though as it's one more thing plugged in

Appreciate this might not be the best place, but running out of ideas. I have a SONOS playbar and VU Solo 2. It transpires the SONOS Playbar cannot handle DTS, it just can't. Does anyone know of any plugins for Enigma 2 that can transcode DTS to Dolby Digital (playbar can handle DD)

My setup is LG 4K TV that can handle DD > Optical Cable from the Sonos bar to the TV. Solo 2 HDMI to the TV. For some strange reason Blurays are transcoded on an XBOX one from DTS to DD and churn out an amazing 5.1 sound. I cannot get the MKV's from my NAS to play via the SONOS bar. Only way to get sound is to select stereo, which then bypasses the 5.1

Any ideas greatly appreciated. There's tons of stuff on the SONOS forums, but no one has a solution

Does anyone have the XBMC Launcher IPK file? It looks like you can only get this packaged in the Blackhole image now, but I use OpenATV. If anyone has the file it would be much appreciated (pm if you do)

I already have this installed on another box, but when I copy the folder out of the plugins folder and copy over to the new Solo2 box, I just get a black screen.

Yeah, tried that. I know exactly what you mean, it's been a pain in the ars* to get this to work. I don't like Amiko stuff to be honest, called it a day and bought another Solo2 today. Cannot fault the Vu stuff

Trying to get CrossEPG to work on my Alien 2 running the latest OpenATV 5 image. I've downloaded it from the plugins menu, but not sure if this is the sh4 version

I did find a thread with the sh4 version in, but once I installed none of the providers showed in CrossEPG. Does anyone have the SH4 version, or advice how I can install it?

Version is 28/4/15. I downloaded the Open ATV 5 image > plugins > download plugins > Extensions > installed from there.

I'm simply trying to get the uk listing numbers i.e. 101 = BBC1.

AutoBouquets 28.2 by Lraizer - I've installed this on my Solo2 and it works fine. I also have a Alien 2 box, I've installed AutoBouquets 28.2 by Lraizer, perform the NIT scan based on my region, but the numbers do not tally with sly.

I've got a little further...found autoboquetesmaker on this site, installed. COnfigured in system settings, attempts to scan services and returns an error 'Timeout for Tuner Lock'

Any ideas?

How did you get it working? Mine only seems to be scanning German chnls

I can see all chnls listed a - z in 28.2e, but AutoB only seems to be scanning German chnls

I have installed autobouquetsmaker, yet I cannot get it to reference 28.2e channels via sly numbering. I have this installed on my Solo2 box and that works fine. Using the same method with this OpenATV5 image on my Alien 2 box, I cannot get the numbers to match. It seems to be referencing German chnls

I've had my Solo2 since launch date. It is an amazing box and has not put a foot wrong. Running full blown xbmc on there now too which is pretty impressive. I've really put mine to the test as I'm always flashing new images and trying many 3rd party apps.

I'm in the market for a 2nd box as I've just extended the house. I want something that can record IPTV (Late NFL games and 3pm stuff) but my understanding is Enigma 2 cannot do this yet...so, I'm in the market for something else maybe. Be awesome if the Solo2 could do this, but I understand some streaming boxes can do it much better

I already own a Solo2 box, but am looking at purchasing a second box for the kitchen. I don't know whether to get a MAG box to unlock the HD potential. . I understand the Enigma boxes can play IPTV HD streams, but cannot record IPTV streams.

What are the EPG's like on a MAG box and how reliable is the recording? I understand there are limitation based on a sub.

Any advice/user reviews would be greatly appreciated

Does anyone know how to add favourites to TV Shows? I have tried all combinations with my VU Solo 2 remote, but nothing brings up the sub menu which gives the option 'add to favourites'

I had the idea of connecting my iphone as a remote which does have the option, but the web service fails to start, so it's not possible to pair

Any ideas?

Sussed it! For anyone else wanted to raise context menu in Xbmc Launcher

1) Goto the folder /media/hdd/.xbmc/userdata/keymaps and check if it is present the file keyboard.xml
2) If you do not have the file in this location goto /usr/share/xbmc/system/keymaps/keyboard.xml

3) Edit file keyboard.xml
4) find line <volume_mute>mute</volume_mute>
5) Substitute with <volume_mute>ContextMenu</volume_mute>
6) Restart Xbmc
7) Press mute to launch context menu

I've managed to get this working, but I have no idea how! I did not do anything different from the previous millions attempts to get it working. THe pre installed softcam is the only one I can get to work
