    Most of my searches are finding the albums that i'm looking for. Although I have to download each track individually, is this the norm? Or is there some way of downloading an entire album in one file or folder similar to torrents?

    can anyone offer any advice on newsgroups.... I want to download albums in FLAC free lossless audio codec. Unfortunately a lot of the albums I have downloaded through torrents aren't quite up to scratch. I'm happy with 320kbs in the car but at home I much prefer FLAC.

  • Is it necessary to back up ipad 2 before jailbreaking

    Is it necessary to backup my ipad 2 running ios 5.0.1 before jailbreaking with absinthe 0.3? If so could someone please recommend a method of backing up said device?
    I have had the ipad since Christmas but haven't used it yet...Wasn't expecting it to take so long for the jailbreak to come out!

    I got an ipad 2 for christmas haven't used it yet! I know it's running IOS 5.0.1. I'm patiently waiting for a jailbreak to come out I keep googling and have found this:


    "A latest news from jailbreak Dev Team has suggested owners of A5 devices, including iPhone 4S, to download and install a new version of TinyUmbrella to preserve the jailbreakability of A5 devices, as Apple may upgrade iOS 5 at any moment, even as the French hacker pod2g said iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak might be released within a week."


    I would appreciate any opinions on the advice.


    The main reason I want to jailbreak the ipad2 is so I can set up different user accounts the way different family mmebers log onto a pc.


    Can anyone recommend a forum that i could visit for ipads (the ipad equivalent of this place... If it exists!)

    My develo dlan plugs work perfectly even on different ring-mains! They should work so long as the ring or radial circuits are on the same consumer unit. I use two different sets, one for my sons xbox live connection and the other for my uno, and have encountered no problems what so ever!

    All working. The confusing issue for me was all the existing text in the cccam.cfg file, I really didn't know where to put the clines! It turns out to be much easier that thought. That said I would never have got there without your help

    So your Cccam.cfg should overwrite the existing Ccam.cfg which already exists in the folder /etc/ ? I noticed that your version has a lot less info in it. Can you please confirm that i should not copy any of the "#" symbols at the beginning and end of each of the clines?

    I have factory reset my Uno, installed the latest official image, updated the drivers, flashed with blackhole 1.66, set-up the USALS installed and started the full 2.2.1 Cccam. I'm back to my old sticking point! How to get my clines onto the receiver. my lines look like:

    Reading other posts it appears that I should ditch the hash symbols at the beginning and end of each line.
    When I open the Cccam.cfg I have absolutely NO idea where to paste the clines!
    I have 7 different clines what's the easiest way for "halfwit" to install them?

    Another important issue is make sure you have the correct time stamp( the right time for epg) Does that mean I should set the time on my receiver to Scandinavian time? I am presently using XEPGDB and XMLTV providers in the Cross epg menu and have various regions ticked including the one that you highlighted ... Would I be better using just one provider list ie, XEPGDB or XMLTV (what's the difference?) I had been getting the weekly epg for the Canal nordic channels, and yesterday they seemed to disappear I spent a good while zapping from channel to channel without success, but the epg has just come back. Frustratingly I'm not entirely sure why!!!!

    I have EPG for most channels working... Unfortunately the cross epg doesn't appear to support the Canal Nordic channels on 0.8 west, I can only get now and next. I have read some where that the weekly epg is downloaded over the air on certain channels. Does any one know which channels to tune into so that the receiver can get the info?

    That explains why I can't receive the channels... It seems they use a narrow beam for the HD channels (very inconsiderate).
    I won't waste any more time trying to work out why the signal is so low!

    You make it sound very simple!! I'll have a look over the weekend. Presumably if it all goes tits up i'll be able to use BH restore from my memory stick. My only hesitation is with the cccam bit. I'm going to have bite the bullet and grips to with it!

    I have updated to BH 1.65, Installed the latest firmware and drivers on my Uno but I still can't pickup various HD channels. I have tried blind scanning and have uploaded channel lists using dreamset whilst the (for example) canal + hits sd channel on 0.8 west opens up fine, the same channel in HD just shows no signal the same happens for most of the HD channels on thor (incidentally the bbc hd channels on thor are fine) Would i be better to start over from scratch? I always use blackhole restore to get the cccam clines back again because i'm not sure on how to get them back onto the stb!!! Is it quite easy to reinstall the clines and which version of cccam should i try and install?
