hi all, i have a really old VU+duo and think its about time for a new one, i like the vu boxes, and looked at 2 with cable and maybe iptv in the future. the boxes i looked at are the vu+duo 2 or the vu solo SE v2... the duo 2 is about the top of my budget. And also could i switch the hdd from duo to the duo 2 or solo SE or neither. ty for any replies.

was away yesterday so couldnt do anything,so i can install any image (for my box)eg open vix open pli etc, then just add the extras like ccam.cfg etc

ok thanks will give it a go, was wanting change as a few things dont work properly(linux support plugins always gives not connected to internet, on demand no programmes there), and last time that happened changed back up and everything was back to normal.

ps: do i FTP the file or put it on usb

hi folks, is there any new/newish uk ready backup images for the duo, plenty for other boxes but cannot find any for the duo.

even googled and drew a blank. if not uk ready at least able to change language. i have openvix backup at mo but from 2014.

hi, i have fairly old vix installed with open vix uk ready 2014 backup, i was thinking of updating the original vix(via reflash) to the new version.
if i do can i use the newest black hole or pli as a backup image. if so is blackhole prefered to pli. box is VU+DUO.

hi all, this happened a while ago on an old image, when it gets to downloading titles/summaries not sure which sorry, it doesnt complete and starts again on another channel, but a manual download worked, but now i have to do a restart then a hard restart (on off switch at back) and still that doesnt always work.
someone suggested a power problem now i have looked for a new powerboard and only found 1 on fleabay and was quite expensive.
the box is about 3 yr old bought brand new from wos.
so does anyone have any suggestions for a fix or where to get a powerboard.

ok will try that, have also been told could be home plugs, i got them at same time as box from WOS approx 2 yr ago.

was a router prob, the home plug was connected to router which was connected to hub, i tried home plug direct to hub but blank screen on tv, then realised i had DHCP unchecked so checked it and all good so far.

hi folks, this has only started last couple of weeks and has me baffled.
as soon as i switch my main pc on the picture freezes on the box no matter what channel.
my connection is thus.
main pc hard wired to hub, second pc in same room same, my sons pc via wireless adaptor and router, the router is connected to hub.
i use home plug for VU connection into VU and one upstairs into router.
i have tried tv off before starting pc but same, also tried second home plug direct to hub instead of router but get no picture at all on tv.
so this is getting quite annoying as im usually on pc and mrs screaming at me tv gone again.
ps: if i switch pc off tv goes back to normal.
any help appreciated.

ps: all info was there before reflash with new image, thought it might of been skin but tried diff ones but same.

hi guys, i have had same image since i bought the box, but yesterday bit the bullet and changed to apollo, everything fine until today.
i had problems with crossepg not finishing, did it manually now all programme info is missing, it tells me what programme is now/next but not what the programme is about.

hi nano, yes i have a line(cccam.cfg installed with Dcc) to open channels, it only went down yesterday, as i mentioned it did it once before and i was told to check if xxx file was there and it wasnt so i installed via Dcc and it worked but cannot remember or find file on my pc.

hi folks, have VU+DUO with vix 3 image, its the third time i have had to reflash through loss of channels, everything installed but have no channels except fta , the first time there was a file missing so had to get the said file and installed via Dcc but for the life of me i cannot find or remember what it was any help appreciated.
ps: is there any image updates available.
