instead of ftp'ing the oscam.server file , reflash the box and then connect to the box on a computer 192.***.**.**:8888
username and password I believe on a lavatronics backup is alien alien then click on files, select oscam.server and then put your server details into the file that is already there. Save it then restart oscam.

I didn't set it up to work via web interface, something to put in the next version.
I just ftp my oscam.server file to the box think it goes in var/keys either that or usr/keys
Nice image but front panel shows boot any fix for it.
think there is fix out for it , will have a look and see if I can get it added to the image
it used to be better for sound for me but with the latest updates it appears to be as bad as the others.
The february image was the last one I had decent sound on.

This is my backup of PKT Hyperion v4 for Amiko Alione 2 configured for 28.2e UK satellite.
Includes the following
Set up for 28.2 UK
Set to 720p 50hz
Autobouqets - Set to Tees HD but you can go into settings and change the region to whatever you prefer then run a scan
Cross EPG - Setup to not revert to internal flash whenever the setting are open
Cool Tv Guide - EPG button on remote has been configured to open this as defualt
Oscam - Latest one seems stable but have included an older version in case anyone has issues

Picons - Latest picons should be installed
TS Media 5.2 - I don't use this plugin hardly but it does seems to crash occasionally.
Infinity HD skin installed as default - I've found this to be the most crisp and clear skin on enigma2 - can be easily changed in setup/system/skin if it's not for you.
There is an issue with the description text for now and next not showing up. It seems to be a known issue with v4 and there should be an update if you go to the PKT blue panel and install the small update there is available. (I've not had the time to make a new backup with the update yet)
AC3 audio is a bit quiet.

hi guys just got the same box and dont have a clue how to get my ccam up n running, if at all poss anyways! total noob if someone can talk me thru it all :)
what I done was convert my line which starts with CWS into a nline and then used an oscam converter to make it an oscam file.
Then I ftp'd the oscam.server file to var/keys and restarted the oscam service and it worked.
There's probably an easier way to do this but that's how I got mine up and running
I have this problem as well, it is happening on Open ARP , PKT, HDMU basically any enigma 2 image - I have tried both installing these images from scratch and installing people's preconfigured backups.
The movie channels are almost unwatchable the audio is that low.
I have been through all settings and cannot find anything to change it , I tried what musogeek suggested but when I change it to SPDIF and AC3/DTS downmix is set to no the sound then goes off. I did try rebooting my box after this as well.
Sound works ok if I boot to spark and I tried some image called Neutrino and it was ok on there as well.
I've been having another look at the settings and it must be something to with ac3 audio. When i select red button on remote and select mpeg the sound works fine. However most hd channels look like they only have ac3 as the audio or if mpeg is there its audio description.

That is what the AutomaticVolumeAdjustment plugin is for. Set the volume of an SD channel to maybe 50% and you'll see the volume adjust upwards for HD channels based on the level of adjustment set in the plugin
thanks for the reply, tried that and it's still quiet for me, have to turn my tv up to about 90 to just hear it on some channels. Tried booting it into both an HDMU image and spark and the volume works ok on the same channels
Been playing about with my alien 2 for the past week trying different images and this one seems to be the one that runs best for me (gave up,after a few hours trying to set up HDMU) the only problem I have is that the sound is very quiet on some channels. I've been through the audio settings and tried adjusting some of the settings but it hasn't helped. I just have the sound going out my tv (samsung ps51f5500akxxu) so have no surround sound or sound bars connected.
Does anyone know if there is something I can do to adjust the sound or anything

I've just got this box this week and was baffled by it for ages , but after you connect to your box by ftp go to usr/keys and the oscam server file is in there. Copy it over reboot the box then restart whatever oscam version you want to run on the plugin and it should work.
Display MoreMgcamd works fine on a SH4 based box.
You normally have to ftp stuff to a box running enigma from your PC.
You have to firstly install mgcamd and then ftp your config over to the relevent file in the receiver.
Unless you give us more information, like which image you have installed on the box you may have difficulty getting an answer.
May i also ask where you got your mgcamd line from?

thanks for the reply, working in IT I should have knew to put more information than what I put :) . I figured out how to convert it to oscam in the end as I could not get the mgcamd plugin to install. The hardest part I had was finding out where on the box I had to FTP it to, got there in the end. I am using an image off here Champions HD Judder Fixed OpenAR-P Based Image. It seems to work great.
I got my mgcamd line off a lad on another forum back when I had a ***box. Very stable and practically freeze free best one I've used out of the few I've tested. works even better on the amiko compared to the ***box . Not sure on the rules on discussing this on this forum as I know most don't allow it but I will tell you more by PM if you want to know.

Have just upgraded my ***box to an amiko alien 2 box and have just realised it's not as easy to get setup.
I have installed an enigma 2 image and that seems to be working fine but have no idea how to get my mgcamd line onto this box. I've seen something about converting it to oscam but am a bit baffled by it.
I've read a lot on here about this but it's quite a lot of information to take in and don't want to make a mistake
If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated
