hi lads did anyone try this installation of ubuntu 13.04
used thatfellow's tut as far as cc/oscam install
updated/upgraded
never bothered doing any onmi setup eg.. opensc-tool -l
using 2 readers and both seem to work all the time
and never get confused.
must have done 40-50 reboots perfect every time
it banging for over a week now no probs
hope this is the end of the B/S

on rte/tv3, working also the rest of the uk channels -
Yes cd/tmp ect, to flash be warned on some cases of flashing if it goes wrong
you may have the flash with dreamup using serial port on comp
what drive are you going on about ? you cant mount a drive unless
you have an image on the stb 1st... -
Came across a solo with symptoms like your it came on after
about 20 mins I presume its the cpu thermally intermittent
the only way the user can use it, Is to let it turned on
As this became a daily accorance
that does not mean this is your problem LOL -
If its for client use only commando 14.7 it has an excellent epg

try turning off the dhcp in network settings
and assign your own static one.. -
This is a long shot saved my ass lost of times, your ip might be present
but you tv ect cant below is an network addy finder exel piece of kit

on more than 1 occasion it worked for me,
after that i would try to get that serial to usb working
mess about with s/w and settings as per previous posts
if that dont work, an oul pc will be required... -
Normally any version will do, by reading what happened with commando
i am afraid reflashing is the only answer, do you know anyone with an old pc
to flash the box, them serial to usb converters dont always work
they are a pain in the butt, pity there is not a usb on the dm's lol -
In some cases try changing the version of dreamup i sometimes find
the older ones are better -

I have an old Vix 2.3 or 2.4 image on her indoors duo and would not change it for anything new i never seen a crisper picture on any sat receiver..
I find a lot of the new images is lacking in picture quality
and beside that she dont even know what a plugin/cam
image ect.. is LOL -

working perfect on solo2 vix/pli image are you using the solo 1
(did not want to say the old one) it could be image type python version
memory or broadband lol -
Had the same problem with an ip camera DYDNS would not work
NOIP perfect lol -

A reflash of the image may be the fastest way out of it m8

When i went about this some time back i set it up for london
and then manually added the irish channels, i found some locations
would not work right nor was the channel found -
And lets not forget master g and ten below another set of stars
OOps nearly forgot about caz the list just keeps on going -
I will have to second all the motions, some of the lads here are probably
the best and very helpfull and THATFELLOW helped a lot again today
