would like New IMAGE for dm500

    im wanting to flash a new img on 1 of my dm500


    question is
    can I do it with web browser if so any tuts
    I have old PC with null modem lead and I think I need dream up if I cant do it in web browser is this correct
    any 1 recommend a good stable Img

    yes,, I always used the nullmodemcable/rs323 port for connecting with dreamup....
    And have always used original image Gemini for an original stb....

    you can flash you dm500 using telnet feature in dreambox control center. make sure the image you are flashing is called backup.img ftp it into tmp folder of dm500 and enter this line in telnet cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp backup.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot Probably best using dm500 as server
