I was having the same problem
cracked mine open and removed the clear plastic film
used a rubber to clean off the tracks under the buttons
working great now

Sorry just realised it was a vu zero

If you are using a backup from someone else's system
Check with both outputs HDMI and Scart as the image could have been made with either config and i dont think you can have both switched on at same time
Also dont let boot on the vFD confuse you some early enigma2 images did not have the VFD drivers so all you got on the display was boot even with the box working ok

He has posted some pictures and been in touch with supplier and his box is out of warranty but supplier will supply replacement board for €20
Looks like a straight forward job to swap out 2 ribbon cables

Ariva 150 is stable it has 1 sat tuner and 1 terrestial for saorview menu is a bit basic but does what it says on the tin my father in has been using 1 for 6 months now with no issues ( other than him deleting all the channels :-) )

I myself am using the Amiko alien 2 triple with no issues either

From reading other posts and forums I think 7 70 means it cant see the files on the stick

On the USB stick you should only have a single folder called 'enigma2' [which contains the following two files uImage & e2jffs2],
the error your getting is due to the fact that there are no enigma2 files found.

Also make sure the USB stick is formatted in FAT32. also have you a different USB stick you could try

+1 For Hyperion 4 very stable
I had HDMU on the alien 2 but I was getting random crashes and the Channel I was watching would just change on its own
so I flashed Hyperion 4 about 2 months ago and have not looked back

Got it working on HD
I downgraded the version of android on the Cubieboard 2 to Android 4.2_v1.06
Then using the Dreamdroid app and the default Tvdplayer in android it streams Hd without any problems
This is of course over the Lan ( cat 5 network in the house ) not wifi
Happy days

In Webif there is a check box that says zap before stream I think this is checked by default which means change channel before streaming
you want to uncheck this so that the main telly continues while you watch something else on your laptop

I thought it was same in spark but using hyperion 4 now so cant be sure

Yep its a triple
As you pointed out the SD channels work well just the hd is wonkey not sure though is saorview here in Ireland is still transmitting Sd as well as the HD version of RTE 1 & RTE 2 if they are i could probably create another boquet with just the SD version for watching in the kitchen
If I do another scan of the terrestial will that wipe the existing terrestial channels or just add them on ?

Any one successfully streaming HD from AA2
I'm using Hyperion 4 and picked up a little android dual core box to stream to kitchen TV
The AA2 and the android box are on the same cat 5 network ( not wireless ) using vu player the standard def channels work well but the HD is rubbish
any better apps that anybody knows of

Sorry to be such a noob but Ive just gotten an alien2+ to replace S** it came preconfigured with enigma2
although i liked the image the box was unstable and randomly rebooted or green screened fairly regularly
I decided the best thing to do was to default it back to spark which seems a lot more stable however it also did an update when connected to the internet ( or maybe I did the update )
Now im fairly sure that when I first went to spark there was an app for youtube in the portal which worked ok but after the update this seems to be gone
what I would like to know is
1 Was I dreaming was there a youtube app in spark ( or was it in enigma 2 )
2 can I download it from somewhere for spark
