This brings me to my question: Can I use Dream Edit to transfer your channel list to my Vu+ please ?
Yes, you can.
This brings me to my question: Can I use Dream Edit to transfer your channel list to my Vu+ please ?
Yes, you can.
On which satellite?
Using two plugins to update data for the same providers will result in one overwriting the other. I suggest you stop using CrossEPG and just use EPG importer plugin. Uninstall CrossEPG if you want.
Again, don''t use two sources for the same provider. You said you were using
QuoteSly Uk and Rytec UK xmlt
Just use the Rytec ones.
just to clarify, you are not using CrossEPG downloader anymore?
You post is still not 100% clear. There is no option for Freesat in CrossEPG downloader plugin
What options have you set in EPG importer plugin?
from what I have read elsewhere and also researched the vu+ duo is similar hardware specs to the sky plus hd DRX890 box, and attempts have been made in the past to try and run enigma on this box, however, lets reverse what has been looked at there: instead of running enigma on the sky box how about compile sky's open source software and write it to a duo, then a debug of the duo booting and reading and writing emm's and ecm's to and from the card. This should in theory give an aes or other key to unlock that particular card using cpu key pairing mechanism. Similar to the nagra 3 methodology of Virginmedia.
This is only a theory and I don't have a duo to trial this with, but I will be more than willing to compile the source code from sky's website for someone to trial AT THEIR OWN RISK.
Last time this was tried, there were a spate of arrests just before the images went live .
depends on which image you on. on openvix with ABM there is a fix for sky sports news and 4, but not for eurosport.
That is not a fix. It is a workaround to ignore some channels and select others that can be decrypted instead.
ABM will work on almost any image.
If you are using ABM, the provider files were changed so that it omits the channels that cant be decrypted on the 12148 trasponder.
I got sly sport news sly sport 4, living back but not the others?
Are you sure these are on the 12148 transponder?
Being unable to tune to a channel is one thing.
Being unable to decrypt a channel is another.
There were some transponder changes, you may just need to update the satellites.xml, restart and scan. Alternatively, install AutoBouquetsMaker.
Your official card must be paired to an official sky receiver. If you have gotten rid of it, you will have to get another one, get your card paired to the new receiver.
A red card paired to a HD receiver can still be used in a non-official box.
A white card paired to a HD receiver and (inserted in one) cannot be used in a non-official receiver.
Would it be a good idea for you to say which providers/satellites you want EPG for? Also say what settings you have. No point people guessing.
EPG is only written when the receiver is shut down or during a save operation. All other times, it is held in RAM.
When people say CrossEPG, they never say what in CrossEPG downloader they enabled.
Depending on image, you should be able to select where the EPG is saved.
A setup to consider....
Use CrossEPG (OpenTV 28.2) for Sky UK
For Internet "gathering", i.e RyTec EPg data, don't use CrossEPG, use EPG/XMLTV importer instead
Do not use two source for the same provider. I.e do not use Cross and Rytec for Sky together.
On OpenVix, the methodology is to do things one by one. This is why Cross takes forever for internet stuff. You then lose control of your box until it has finished. The version of CrossEPG downloader used by OE-A images, is partly coded by AndyBlac so it will do one thing at a time too.
What satellite/s are you asking for?
Whichever image you use, you will be limited about cams owing to the CPU.
You will have to use Oscam or Ncam
If using blackhole, there is a version of mgcamd that works.
The keymap may need editing on your image, whichever that is,
Have you tried accessing/playing the recordings using web interface on your PC?
Your tuner configuration on the receiver must match the the real/physical items connected to each tuner. If you make a mistake with this, you will get tune failed messages. You have not said this is happening, so I am guessing that your issue is decrypting, not setting up of tuners. This is based on the description you gave.
You have not said what kind of LNB's you have. If you have a single port LNB, how are you going to connect it/them to diseqc switch? But yes, you are better off with diseqc switches to both tuners, but both diseqc switches must be connected to both LNBs. Picture of possible hardware attached.
You would be better off editing the reader file with Hexedit or similar
