We have several threads for oscam binary/ipk uploads. Can we please post changelog posts for plain oscam (not emu) in this thread for easier reference. I have moved several posts already and not sure I want to start splitting posts .

    Thanks in advance.

Install the one on the PLi plugin developer server. It is updated nightly.

By the way, Icam functionality was added to plain oscam several months ago.

You have declined to provide the installation log or dmesg log. Default for PLi is to apply the restore after it reboots following a flash, you have to say no if you do not want to re-install what you had previously installed. Probably why you have extra drivers than what you installed last. I attach my install logs should you wish to compare.

Good luck in your quest. I hope you find a working solution. Be at peace, there will be no further interference in this thread from me

Why have you got all the other drivers installed? After flashing new image, you were meant to say no to auto restore.

You will be better off posting on PLi forum so a more robust solution is found. Playing hard to get with information will not help the cause.

You are meant to install drivers and then reboot box. Ideally the device should be connected when the Linux OS boots up.

Fallback tuner is not the same as fallback receiver or client mode. Fallback tuner allows you to use the tuner from another receiver. You still need to have own bouquets and channel lists etc.

    Example usages are:

when you do not have enough tuners on the current box.

Another satellite is connected to another receiver. So receiver A has 28.2 and 19.2. Receiver B has 28.2, 23.5. 39e and Terrestrial.

You have not said which provider this is. But as you were using Rytec EPG and it worked (via CrossEPG downloader), best you use Rytec again. If CrossEPG does not work on your new receiver, try using EPG importer plugin. It will download the same data from the interweb.

I thought you respond on my problem with my oscambuild script whom is not working anymore.

You have not said what script you are using or what the error is. Please try using simplebuild. if you have an existing version, it will need an update. Please see this article

EPG Refresh is just a clever channel zapper/selector. It zaps to a channel so that Enigma2 absorbs the EPG from the signal stream.

So the test is this: Manually select the channel, do you then absorb more EPG data? If not, you will need to use another method to get EPG.

EPG is held in RAM. It is only saved/loaded by Enigma 2 during shutdown or startup. So storage device doesn't matter.

Picons are generally read in bursts and on demand. So flash storage (internal flash memory, usb flash drive, SSD) are better as you don't get lag while the storage device wakes up. Unless the mechanical HDD is constantly spinning owing to permanent time shift.
