    As above, the surest method is to check on an official receiver.

    Try 40980. Somoene else posted issues about 40979 on another forum, he was in 40980

    If you cannot get official receiver, then you have to go through all of them one by one. I have adapted the provider file to have a frequency you posted. You should not get a tune failed message.

    Extract the xml file,

    transfer to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers

    Delete the providers.cache file in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers/

    In ABM select a net ID ,

    Run ABM (make sure there is no no swap)

    Select a different bouquet, go back to Entertainment bouquet.

    Check If BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV, CH4 and CH 5 in that bouquet work. If they do, great.

    If no, select a different NetID, run ABM, select a different bouquet, go back to Entertainment check the 5 FTA channels.

    Continue until you get a NetID where the 5 channels work

    If he is not certain of his NetID, we can try and find it.

    I hope the two people in this thread are in the same NetID. If not, details may not be applicable.

    There are no free HD channels on UK cable. You are making it very difficult to help you by referring to FTA HD cable channels. They don't exist. Disable swap in ABM.

    Please answer this question. Do you know what your net ID is? Please select one of the following answers:

    Yes,

    No,

    I'm not sure

    When using ABM, the test is:

    Do the 5 FTA channels at the beginning of the Entertainment bouquet work.

    If those 5 fta channels work, you have almost certainly got the correct correct NetID (unless in a Pure area. Looking at anything else will just waste time.

    Do you know what your net ID is? Please select one of the following answers:

    Yes,

    No,

    I'm not sure

    If you are sure that 40979 is your NetID, go to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers

    and edit the following file

    cable_uk_virgin.xml

    Change the frequency="411000" to any of the following

    frequency="603000"

    frequency="611000"

    frequency="619000"

    frequency="627000"

    Delete the providers.cache

    and then run ABM again.

    ABM uses QAM 64 frequencies for tuning, although it will work on any frequency.

    Virgin have been upgrading /changing pure areas. The frequencies change.

    Change tuner config to UK, VIrgin All systems.

    Remove Cable services:

    channel up, green for satellite, highlight cable services, menu, remove cable services, restart.

    Perform a scan, then restart, upload both lamedb5 and lamedb files to the thread.

    Which NetID are you in?

    It is being worked on. The numbers are all mixed up depending on region.

    The FTA/HD bouquets will need some work.

    A temp workaround by Dsayers and co is here.

    Transfer it to the providers folder

    /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers

    I have removed the attachment, you were meant to remove username and password.

    All the service references are like this, this is why your EPG does not show. They need to match up with the actual service references.

    CoolTV guide does not get any EPG data.

    It just shows the EPG data in a particular way. OpenPLI have their own built in EPG screens. You don't actually need CoolTV guide if you want to use a Graphical EPG. You can use button setup to change which screen opens when you press the EPG button.

    As mentioned earlier, the XMLTV EPG data is hosted on websites. It does not matter whether you download using CrossEPG downloader or EPG importer. OpenPLI hate CrossEPG downloader. So you might as well as forget it and use the plugin they like and maintain (EPG Importer).

    I presume that you are using an official PLI image. Can you install EPG importer?

    Note:

    Rytec EPG data will come from the same website, whether you download it using EPG importer or Cross EPG downloader (XMLTV provider)

    The answers given above are following purpose:

    A person has an Enigma2 satellite receive.

    The receiver has bouquets

    He/she want to view/select the bouquets on the receiver using the Windows PC

    He/she can select any channel on the receiver and watch it on the Windows PC

    If that is not what you wanted to do, please explain using different terms
