I have had a Spider Optibox for a while now and it's just about ok. I have been playing around with quite a few frimwares {only had one ASH and restored via cable}and I am still trying to get the twin tuner to work. I did find a firmware that did give me thw twin option but I have now lost it... it was similar to the iPhone menu.
Does this unit work via recording one channel and watching another one? I am using Bar 7 J111 has anyboding come across the twin tuner firmware?

If someone buys a box and line then sets it up on their IP address what happens when that person sells it on and is then connected to a different IP address. Will this not flag up any problems!!!

I have just got a optibox Spider HD and the channels are all over the place and some are missing I think!!!.
The guy I brought it off said it has had its firmware change so I now get menu 7777 and menu 6666
I have got a Newcamd line which needs placing on menu 7777 I believe, my questions are
1. Is there just one firmware out-there that will get me the menu 7777 or more then one
2. Can I do a complete re install and get all my channels
3. Any good updates out there….
My friend has a Blade 5000 and the remote's look and work the same, can the Optibox Spider not be set-up in the same way as the Blade 5000

A few questions please…
1. If the box needs modifying, how is this done? What gets modified? What prices are we talking?
2. If the box needs flashing what software and how would I connect the box i.e. MAC Address
3. Boot-loaders, which ones? Again can I re-flash as is or would the box need modifying
4. Images, are these loaded via the same way as the boot-loaders?
5. Have a bought a ‘pup of a box’
I am still trawling through the site and trying to get my head around it all.

Thanks for the advice... I have just brought one of E-bay so I can play around with it. I would be looking to buy a Dream-Box 800HD!!! You say that their are images available does this include everything I need? to re-flash the box i.e. boot-loaders plus GUI? I will have a look around for some installation guides.

I want a good all-around sat box maybe an nbox is a good starting point. Is Enigma 2 the best around!!!

As anybody being using the N-Box or Dream-box? As anybody came across clines or are they a big no-no on this forum.
I know card sharing is not the way forward, but I haven’t come across anybody that does want to get anything for free!!! Or at a vastly reduced price.
