If your brother wants something simple and that works then a box running spark would be good. Something like the amiko alien triple tuner or San triple tuner. They come with spark loaded and its easy no need to configure stuff to much. It just works basically and you always have the option of loading enigma onto it. It also has crossEPG( I don't use spark anymore but I used to have it) which he would probably need for making timers.

They aren't expensive either.

CrossEPG does not exist on Kodi, I'd like to grab all the EPG from my box or even a just that days. I already have CrossEPG on my box.

I ran the command above on Linux Mint and have the webpage up but I don't know how to point a player at it. I've tried MX Player and vlc on android with no luck.

On the Vu+ player I get connection failed even though I put in the right details. Here is a screenshot:

So that wasn't the Vu Player you were talking about it was Vu PlayerHD. Vu Player as you said is no longer on the play store so I grabbed it off the net. It works great and actually grabs the right EPG unlike XBMC. Thanks again. I'll try out the VLC tonight or tomorrow morning and will let you know. Cheers Joe!

My first step is to get the quality better.You said you streamed to phones, could you name what player you used. And any other players you use on other devices.

Currently I'm using XBMC on my iPad and my phones. The quality is great ony phone but no so much on my iPad.

I have 3 mb/s up which isn't that great so how would I go about getting VLC streamer setup.

I'll be likely streaming to 4g or 3g on my phone and that has around 10 mb/s average I believe.

What are you running on it? Vix?

Kodi>Settings>Live TV>Enable
You'll get a warning just click yes (or okay, don't know what it says) once that's done do this
Scroll to the bottom>click on Vu+ Plugin>Configure>type in your box's IP, then go to advance and put in our user and password. Configure anything else you like.
Click done and then enable.

Go back and you may need to restart Kodi now. Then let it do it's thing and then a TV tab will pop up and there you go.

If you want to get Kodi on vix, there is a plugin for that

So I have two questions the first is how could I increase the quality streamed from my box to XBMC
On mobile it looks great but then on the iPad its not as great, is there a way to increase the quality of the stream?By the way this is just on LAN.

My second questions is that how could I stream over the internet? I'm sure I would probably need a computer running but that's no problem for me so how could it be done?.

Now I get tune failed while recording. I have pti.ko.215.zip for stm24_0215 at the moment.

Okay that solved the problem actually :). Just came home and thought I would give it one last try and boom it worked. Tried different channels and only one gave me tune failed error but that was fixed after restarting the download. Thank ye so much. Cheers!

and I don't know where oscam is located other then the config files so couldn't get the output of oscam in talnet.

Oh I meant I have Tuner C the same as not running through it, sorry about that. And yes I am using oscam.

After trying many pti.ko files from different images I got one that didn't give me no tuner. That was the HDMU_13771_E2_spark7162_215_git_3566 pti.ko file but it still has the problem.

Hey lads, I cannot record two paid(if that's what they're called) channels. I've looked around and seen that you change ca1 to ca0 but don't know in which file.

I have Sab triple tuner and recording on spark works flawlessly. It's not the usb because I can record sly sports 1 which watching sly sports 2. So how would I go about fixing this.

Running HDMU btw and have Tuner B setup and Tuner C run through it.

Hello guys, so I have put my satellite higher(before it was low to the ground) and I thought that was the error but still no luck. *** Sports and other paid channels still get stuck every 9-10 seconds. Was wondering what I should do. Thank you.

Hello everyone, I was wondering what would be the fastest image for 7162. Paid channels seem to get stuck every 10 seconds or so but on spark its perfectly fine. What would you recommend?

it tends to happen more on bigger dishes that are on 28.2 east that blow around a bit, meaning the signal can drop, but on a smaller mesh dish that is bang on, it happens less frequently as that dish has less wind movement.

Mine even locked up on BBC1 therefore proving it's not an oscam problem as many have suggested.

I have made another partition in my hard drive which is EXT4, and when I plug that into my box. Its still not there, the box reads a usb thats ext4 but not that hard drive which has 1 partition which is ext4.

Any help?

Hello guys, I had another enigma image on my box and it supported my ntfs hard drive but now I flashed it with this HDMU image and I need my hard drive to work to. So how should I do this? Is there a plugin or something called ntfs-3g? Cant seem to find it. Thank you :)
