Well I have CCcam 2.30 up and running in my Duo2 and the cam is taking care of all the biss channels I like to watch but this cam is a pain in the butt as if you have two biss strings with the same SID its a no go and all you will get is a black screen.
Now I have a Openbox S10 and its the same as the Duo2 with CCcam 2.3 that if you have two of the same SID's your stuffed but I also have a Opensbox S16 and the cam in that does not require a SID but does require the frequency the symbol rate and the Video PID and by this if I'm correct you can have different biss channels or feeds with the same SID and the both are running OK. How do you guys get around this problem (another Cam?) because as it stands I have made a few folders in my computer with each biss string for each channel in it (FTP when needed) and I have one constant.cw with as many biss strings in it with non similar SIDS. Its a pain there must be a better way

now you klnow that feeling of satisfaction when you resolve something and it actually works>!!!!
Congratulations buddy.. and commenting on it will certainly help others so thanks for that too!!
but stick around as picons is only the tip of the iceberg with these machines,,

They are a great box once you understand them. So far I have 12 C and KU Dish's hanging off it and its Lightning fast in changing channels. Yes I'm only knew with the boxes and there is a lot more to know about them. Well its time I now visit a Cccam forum as I have a question.:48_002:

Well I finally found the problem and all is fixed now. See The service number in the main Sat list and your favorites list are the same and it must either match or change/tag the Picon file number. Well what i have now is All three have the same service number and the picon's are working properly. I must have accidentally changed an option in dreambox Edit.

Ok, go back to the start again..... create a new folder on your desktop called picon. Place all the picons you want to see on the receiver inside it. FTP into your box delete the old picon folder.... FTP the new one across to media/usb

Check the file permissions on it are set to 755. Do a full restart of the box.....

I did exactly what you asked me to do and I still only have 2 out of 38 picons showing up in my LCD display

1/ I opened my old picon folder and copied all the 40 picons
2/ I made a new folder on the desktop and dumped all the 40 picons in it
3/ I deleted via FTP my picon folder found in /media/usb
4/ I FTP'd my picon folder found on my desktop to the duo2
5/ I checked file Permissions the Value for media is 755 for usb is 755 for picon it was 700 not 755 but I changed it to 755 save it, rebooted box and I only still have 2 picons working.
6/ I checked all 40 picons one by one and there permissions are set at 600. Do they individually have to be set at 755?.

Something is odd here Why do I have two of the 40 working (showing up in LCD) I even replaced my LCD4config file just in case if that was corrupted but its still the same.
Question could it be possible that something has changed without me knowing it during stuff around in LCD4config that effects 38 of them but not the other 2. I did have something odd happens weeks ago when for a unknown reason my LCD was disabled in LCD4config?
    thanks

I have spent a full day and still noting or better still only two out of 40 work.
Just a refreasher on what I did.
I added 30 Picon to my mounted and mapped USB /media/usb/picon/ and all was working perfect until I decided to add 10 more so what I did is I tried to FTP the new picons across (cute FTP) and in my favorites I gave them the correct picon but that did not work.
Now what I did next was I deleted the folder in my Duo2 called picon and on the computer side of things I added the new 10 picons and then I FTP'd 40 across to /media/usb/picon in the duo two and now I only have 2 out of the 40 that are working (showing up on the LCD screen)OK on the LCD screen. The other 38 do not come up on the LCD as the picon from the channel.
I have ADDED all my picons from my favorites not the main section where EXAMPLE all transponders live for a given Satellite..
Please note that in my picon folder in the duo2 fia FTP all picon's are accounted for. they are all in there.
Continuing the process of installing the redoing or cleaning the USB, formatting/mounting, and mapping
Right!! I have re-formated the USB and during the process 4 options come up
1/ EXT2 Recommended for USB Fllash memory
2/ EXT3 Recommended for hard drives
    3/ EXT4 Recommended for Meo-boot
4/ Vfat Use only for Media files.
Now I would guess that option two and three you would not use but which one do you choose from Option 1 Recommended for Flash memory or option 4 Vfat use only for media files Which one would you use for your picons during the process if I remember correctly to Format.
I even looked at the possibility of having duplicate channels and the picon is attached to the one that is not in the Favorite list.
What am I doing wrong? 30 picon's were working correctly now I have only 2 working. Is there a possibly that something changed in LCD4CLinux the green button, the plugin) and maybe it allows the only two to work for a unexplained reason

Have you checked that the usb stick that contains the picon folder is mounted correctly??? do you mean that the picons are not showing up at all? or just not showing up on the lcd screen on the front of the duo2?

The three bein sports picons that you have added even if they did have the wrong numbering would not stop the rest of the picons that are working from showing.....

No. Its just a case that the Picons don't show up in the LCD screen and on the Channel bar when you change channel. All Picons worked ok for days, (usb mounted correctly) its a case that I wanted to remove about 80 to 100 picons that were never going to be used and all they were doing is robbing space. (PS I have 32gig USB thumb drive stuck i the rear of the duo2)
When I use a FTP program (cute FTP) I find the folder picon on the right hand side (the duo2 side) and it has /media/usb/picon and when I double click on the picon in the duo2 folder all the picons pop up and all accounted for.
Cant you answer the below for me.

Is there a correct procedure for the below

    What do you do first!

Do you send say 30 picons via FTP (say Cute FTP) to your duo2 first followed by adding the same picons and matching them on Dreambox edit to there matching TV stations then send the picon location via Dreambox edit to the Duo2.

    OR

Do you add the picons to there matching TV stations in Dreambox edit first then send them via FTP (Dreambox Edit) to the Duo2 and after you have done that you then send the picons themselves via a FTP program (Say Cute FTP) to the duo2?

I had to delete my picon folder (To add more)found in my duo2 via Dreamboxedit /media/usb/picon and I replaced it and now I cannot get my picons up and running. I re-checked them and they are in /media/usb/picon. what could cause this problem If the picons are in the du2 but not showing up. Any auto change it might have made in LCD4linux?.
30 of my picons file numbers start with 1_0_1_ and they were ok originally but I added three more picons with file number starting with 1_0_19_ (three bein sports picons) can this be the problem. do the different numbers mean something that I don't understand.
