This is an how to that will guide you on:
1-Backup system settings
2-Backup a running image
3-Online flash a image
4-Restore your setting
5-Restore a backed up image from your media device1-Backup system settings
Access the XTA panel with blue button in menu Backup Tools backup your system settings
you can choose extra files that you want backup by going into Choose backup files and you can choose a backup location too if various media devices are attached.2-Backup a running image
From XTA panel choose Image tools menu from there Backup Image will offer you the facility to backup your image to your hdd or usb devices.3-Online flash a image
From XTA Panel in Image Tools menu you will see the Flash Online function, once entered the menu you will face the below screen
with green button (Online) you can choose your daily build image to flash. Green to flash the xtrend-alliance image or another useful option is that you can even choose an openATV image to flash4-Restore your setting
Once a new image have been flashed you will wont restore your backed up settings to do this simply go to your XTA Panel and in menu Backup Tools choose restore system settings
another choice you have there is advanced restore use this option if you have various settings backup and you will be able to choose the wanted backed up settings5-Restore a backed up image from your media device
From XTA Panel Image Tools choose Restore Image you will be presented with a menu (screenshot below)
by default you will have images that you have backed up in hdd/images/tmp but if you have more devices you can use yellow button for extra choices, green button will flash you choosen imageI ll take this occasion to thank betacentauri for his fantastic OFGWRITE tool without this I will be spending hours testing daily build

How to use multiboot with OpenXTA
1. use a USB stick or an internal HDD formatted in ext4, unless you have the ability to format to ext4 you can do after you install the plugin openmultiboot.

344cdf2b7.jpg2. Once you have installed the plugin openmultiboot load images in .zip format in the folder / media / hdd // open-multiboot-uploader

4. Select the image you want to install on your support
5. Prees ok
6. When the flash is complete restart the decoder
7. restart choose the image and press OK

Meanwhile, first you created the 3 folders: VIDEO, MUSIC, PHOTO HDD, or only one (to your taste).
Now you have to install the plugin "DLNA Server" to use the decoder as nas:1- Installing plugins DLNA Server: go to the plugin, press the green button to download new plugins, and when you compare the list with various items, you select "extension" and you should open a drop down with all plugins including find what you need to you "DLNA Server," press ok to confirm selected and installed. After installation restart enigna (long press the power button and select restart Engima) or menu-standby / restart-restart Engima.
2- Configuration plugin DLNA Server: go to the plugin, select DLNA Server (just installed), and set the HDD path for video, music and images. ex .: video, press ok, parent directory (the default should be on average) and you can find the list of drives / paths, select your HDD, select the folder and press the green button.
3 - Start the DLNA server: once set the paths you put on it "Enbable autostart DLNA server" and then starts to the server by pressing the green; the fact that press the yellow button to save the configuration
To check if the server is started, if you have a TV last generation go into sources and should be the source ET10000 DLNA Server icon linux, or on the PC. Make that when the server starts it needs a few minutes to index the contents of folders that you have shared (video, images, music).
The server remains active even when you put in Stanbdy the decoder.
When you reboot completely the decoder restarts also the server, so it needs the usual time to re-index the contents. -
