i dont think thats important now, first thing is i havn't got BH installed so cannot poont you directly you've got to find the backup menu when you find that ther'll be an option to choose what files you want to backup.

when you've done that, put the loader file on the pen (if you have any other pens inserted remove them)
shutdown and then put the pen in the front usb port and reboot (takes seconds to install)
shutdown remove pen format it, and put BH 1.7.4 on it.
put pen in front usb slot and let it install, when instructed remove pen and reboot.
just run through the install procedure.
it'll ask you if you want to install the backup, obviously YES.
that's it.

i think i've covered everything but if not please just ask.

hello mate, i'd suggest do it this way.
1: do a full image backup
2: install duo_cfe_3.0 bootloader.
3: install image not sure of your reasons for 1.7.2 but i would use the latest BH 1.7.4 if possible.
4: when instructed install backup.
5: then you're ready to go.

i use a mac and run idreamx on it, i want to take a screen shot to post here i open the prog select control and from there i should be able to access a screenshot from clicking the center but nothing happens.

i'm using the latest vix image but it's done this with other images as well.

can the problem be solved?

after you've done the intro's, pull the power on the Vu wait 30 seconds and then reconnect.

if it dont boot then do as the others have suggested.

are you saying that you want to use a DM500 as well as or instead of a linux server?

don't find it a problem myself mate, i find having to press the ok button twice to select a channel more irritating.

i suggest don't let either of these issues deter you from using one of the best images around in my opinion.

i do know that you can get PiG of the channel your on.

PIG in case you dont know is Picture In Graphics ;))

update
ok i've checked and yes you can get a preview of the subsequent channel only problem is it's covered by the graphics, so unless you can lower the transparentcy on the graphics you never going to see what the program is.

the other thread relating to this is closed so sorry i've got to repost the subject.

i've got the latest sif image on a v8 dm500 used as a server with the oscam cccam combo installed from the downloads.

i read on the other thread that by allowing emm's to be updated by a single client and leaving the box on *** news overnight it will update, i enabled my own client to request emm's on the F line in CCcam.cfg thus F: meown mepass 0 0 1 { 0:0:1 } { } { } meownserver.bigkiss.co.uk.......i forgot to leave it on *** news and nothing has happened.

i'll try again tonight but the main thing is can anybody tell me if there's anything i should or need to do to get my sub to update.

i've used a swap file for yonks mate, in this case it's 96 meg.

you see mate that's the thing by and large 28.2E populates ok, once upon a time Ryvix did an excellent job for a mutilsat setup, not perfect but adequate, then things changed now the Rytek version is not up to scratch, neither is any of the other epg progs.

but back to the original problem this Open AAF image is very impressive i must say, and if i can find a workaround for the channel selection i'll certainly stick with it.
