well it seems for anybody else wanting this skin with BH that blackhole will not be supporting this skin as they say it slows image down
although reports ive read seem to say it works fine...?
i used it on dm800 and it was fine and this solo2 has more flash memory ram faster processor etc strange
i will test it on bh may change to vti as ive read its supported with there image, if anyone can confirm this is correct ?

i've only just purchased mine today (had dreambox previously) but suspect your only using 1 x lnb and looping internally? you can only watch and record channels on the same transponder using this set up
if your using 2 x lnb's feeds your tuners configured wrong

just received my new vu+ solo2 today from our spoonser world-of-sat :)
after i ordered and paid for a used one off ebay a month ago but it never arrived :(
flashed the new blackhole image and did online update to B
just been looking on there server but dont see my favorite skin metrixhd ?
can i install this skin with this image / vu receiver

New to vu + equipment and seeking advice
Is there any way to tell if the second-hand vu+ solo2 is genuine? Now they’ve made clones of them
I’ve been assured it genuine and purchased before clone were out, but I would like to confirm it
I’ve only every purchased genuine dreamboxes in the past and i can visually sport a clone a mile away (even the remotes)
But not idea on how to identify (visually) a cloned solo2 due to not seeing either before
I take it if I flash it with original images (none patched) It would error because of ssl or is it not the same on vu+ receivers?

at the moment i use the below commands in a terminal to compile oscam for my centos server:-

cd
svn co http://streamboard.de.vu/svn/oscam/trunk oscam-svn
cd oscam-svn
./config.sh --enable WEBIF WITH_SSL
make config
make USE_LIBUSB=1 USE_PCSC=1

where do i put the files i do not see a patch folder in oscam-svn?
and where in the above commands would i add the command

ecm header white list taken from streamboard

this goes in ecm header whitelist field
remove ecm white list and services not needed if you use ecm header whitelist
you may need to add or correct above list just google how

what is your problem now ? is card opening channels?
maybe al Jazeera has cut your card off for cs?

use an ecm header white list and block all emms to card
pre-paid viaccess cards dont need updates only irdet* cards, irdet* cards needs loads of emms to keep alive

just compile it yourself mate i use centos 5.9

got this up & running now, had a problem last night changing the start stop script as i use monit for monitoring pids to restert if require but sorted now
got my cacheex peers moved over and conected
now i just need oscam guru to help me link the cache from my oscam server to cacheex server and back if required?
i will have a test later tonight but would like to know if i need to add a cacheex line in each as i would if i was adding a new cacheex peer or if it can be linked without lines ? eg cache port or if pc will dish it out between them both?

i was thinking of adding a second oscam just for cacheex mode3
one thing i am unsure of would i need a line in both oscam's to connect or the cache of the pc server would just dish it out to either running oscam?
maybe i am over thinking it but wanted to ask
what about using the same cache port ?

try dhcp on receiver instead of fixed ip to start with
I suspect gateway or dns details are incorrectly configured

b* home hub 4 is fine for cs even updates the dns
sorry i know this does not help you but this will let you know its your settings that are wrong
best only use above .100 for router to assign then anything below .100 can be used as fixed ip's

i have all three cards now running with ecm header whitelist but on sly freesat card now looks like i am card faking...? (may have before never checked) as it is opening all channels at hop 1 to my dreambox from my server? help
